miles distant from the latter. This village
is surrounded by the most prosperous set -
Clement in the Huron Tract, and already
promises to becd*ne a place of some impor-
tance. There are now several tradesmen
in it, and a good workman in he above
li.•e will assuredly meet with liberal en-
couragement.

llibbert and Tuckersmitb, leading from tho Iluroo to the London
Road, as the Report states that 31 miles of the contract on this
Road remains unfinished, your committee would recommend that
steps be taken to enforce the penalties on the parties concerned.
Ind. McCaw's contact on the Mitchell Road ; your committee
consider that this is the same contract for which an aceouot has
already been before the Council and sanctioned; but your commit-
tee would remark, that there may be risk to the Council in paying
any other than the contractor for the work, and would advise that
.ufftcieot guarantee be obtained before the account be finally auds
rted' owing to the latenevs of the

Poston, and no finds bete at the disposal of the Council, we rec-
