The first meeting of the Grand
Bend Gay Gals was held at the -
home of Mrs. Eddie (till. The fall
and winter project is "The Cereal
Shelf." The .officers for this proj-

There are eight members of
the (Jay Gals with. two leaders,
Mrs. Eddie Gill and Mrs. Don
Hendrick.
Mrs. Hendrick outlined the
course "Cereal Shelf the topic
discussed for this week was
"Working Procedures" a nd
"Dishwashing."
The second meeting was held
at the home of Mrs. Don Hen
-
chick. All the members were
present. Mrs. Gill led in a dis-
cussion of "The Pattern for
Every Day Eating"-, and the dif-
ferent parts of a wheat kernel.
Mrs. Hendrick gave a demon-
stration on how to make graham
muffins.

A number of the friends and
acquaintances of Miss Trena
Dawson met at the home of Mrs.
Clark Kennedy on Monday eve-
ning and presented her with a
shower of miscellaneous gifts in
view of her approaching .marri.
Age next month.
About 18 guests were present.
MI. Ernie Grose read an ad-
dress to Miss Dawson, after
which lean, Mary Lynn and Eliz-
abeth Kennedy carried the gifts
into the prettily decorated room
in a plastic clothes basket: hliss

Mrs. Ken Horn and Mrs, Nor-
man Jaques took charge of the
program. Mrs. Ken Hern gave
the study on "Alaska", Mrs.
Norman Broek and Mrs. Ward
Horn gave readings. Mrs. Tom
Brock gave the scripture read-
ing and Mrs. Warren Brock gave
the scripture comment.
