The fall and winter project is "The Cereal Shelf." The .officers for this proj- ect are z President, Barbara Fah - tier; secretary. Mona Desjar- dine; press correspondent, Karen 'T.aYlor. There are eight members of the (Jay Gals with. two leaders, Mrs. Eddie Gill and Mrs. Don Hendrick. Mrs. Hendrick outlined the course "Cereal Shelf the topic discussed for this week was "Working Procedures" a nd "Dishwashing." The second meeting was held at the home of Mrs. Don Hen - chick. All the members were present. Mrs. Gill led in a dis- cussion of "The Pattern for Every Day Eating"-, and the dif- ferent parts of a wheat kernel. Mrs. Hendrick gave a demon- stration on how to make graham muffins. Shower .0ride.Elect A number of the friends and acquaintances of Miss Trena Dawson met at the home of Mrs. Clark Kennedy on Monday eve- ning and presented her with a shower of miscellaneous gifts in view of her approaching .marri. Age next month. About 18 guests were present. MI. Ernie Grose read an ad- dress to Miss Dawson, after which lean, Mary Lynn and Eliz- abeth Kennedy carried the gifts into the prettily decorated room in a plastic clothes basket: hliss Dawson replied in a few words 'her complete surprise and appre. elation. Mrs. Roy Flear, Mrs. Neil Chamberlain, Mrs. Ernie Grose and Mrs. Ken Roberts assisted Mrs. Kennedy with the arrange- ments. Glenn has recently purchased the Lakeview Hotel. Misses Pauline Desjardine and Carol MacGregor visited in To- ronto last week with a group of students of South Huron High School, and visited the Toronto Star building and the Parliament Buildings, and on Sunday they motored to Detroit where they spent a few days with Mr. and Mrs, Wm. Eagleson. Mrs. Emaline Desjardine is visiting in London with her grand- daughter, Mrs. Kenneth Flear And Mr. 'near. Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Baker re- turned last week after spending the past month with their daugh- ter.
