He was a resident of Kitchener for the past 11 years. Previous to that rte operated bakeries in Baden and Zurich. He was em- ployed by the Panni) Veneer Co,, Ltd„ of Kitchener. 1n 1917the deceased was united in marriage to Clara Kennel of near Blake who survives along with two sons: Stewart of Kit- chener and Robert of Toronto;) four daughters, (Grace) Mrs, Roy Hofstetter of Kitchener; (Alice) Mrs. Arthur Steinman of Baden; (Rena) Mrs: Frank Halls of Kitchener; (Patricia) Mrs. Don- ald Buchanan of Los Angeles, Calif.; two brothers, Daniel of Kitchener and Gideon of Zurich: two sisters, Mrs, David Studer of Detroit and Mrs. Wellington Johnston of Zurich. ONTARIO HOSPITAL INSURANCE effective Janury 1, /959 On and after January 1, 1959, the Ontario Hospital Services Commission will be the only agency offering standard ward hospital insurance in Ontario. No private insurance company or prepayment plan will offer benefits covering standard ward hospital services after December 31, 1958. ALL RESIDENTS OF ONTARIO ARE ELIGIBLE Enrolment is open to every resident of Ontario -re- gardless of age or physical condition --either through a group, er individually on a Pay Direct basis. Non-residents of Ontario are not eligible. PREMIUMS The low premiums of $2.10 a month for a single person. and $4.20 a month for the family (husband, wife and children under age 19) are made possible through extensive financial contributions by the Federal and Provincial Governments. This will set up a "prepaid" period to maintain benefits during tittles when a person inay be laid off, changing jobs, or temporarily out of the province. LATE REGISTRATION MAY PROVE COSTLY Groups and individuals not registered by the closing dates stated above tinder given classifications will not only fait to qualify for the two months' free coverage but wilt be required to wait three months following application before benefits become avail- able.
