Baby Band Entertained
The July meeting of the Elim-
ville W.M.S, and W.A. was held
on Wednesday in the form of a
picnic when they entertained
the Baby Band at Riverview
Park, Exeter.
A large crowd sat down to
dinner after which Mrs. Lewis
Johns, president of. the Baby
Band, conducted the meeting.
Mrs, Jain Ridley and Mrs,
Johns ran off a few sports and
some of the children went in

The 4-H Achievement Day was
held on Thursday at Seaforth
District High School. The Elim-
ville girls presented a skit, "Our
National Pantry Shelf," taking

In Varna Church
Varna United Church was the
scene of a lovely nud-surnmer
wedding Saturday, July 5, at 2
p.m., when Margaret Elizabeth
Medymont, Toronto, and Doug-
las Stuart Robinson, Toronto, ex-
changed marriage vows in a
double ring ceremony before the
Rev, T. J, Pitt in a floral set-
ting of delphiniums, Canterbury
bells and peonies.
The' bride is the daughter et
Mr.. and Mrs. Fred Ma:1mm%
Varna, and the groom is the
son of Airs. Greta Robinson,
Toronto, Miss Margery Webster,
Varna, provided wedding. =Sic
and accompanied the soloist,

father, the bride wore a gown
of hand clipped imported Chan -
tin" lace with illy point sleeves.
The sabriea neckline was etched
with a petal effect, a bouffant
nylon tulle skirt was accented
with tiers of Chantilly lace -fall-
ing into a slight suggestion of a
train, Her fingertip veil was
held in place with a tiara of
seed pearls and iridescent se-
quins, and she.carried a cascade
of red roses,,
Bridal attendants Mrs. Donald
Barker, King City, Ont., matron
of honor, and Miss Joan MeCly-
mont, Varna, bridesmaid, sisters
of the bride, chose strapless
gowns of white organza with
blue and yellow flowers em-
bossed respectively tin the or-
ganza, styled with a bolero
,jacket. They carried bouquets
of blue carnations and white
'mums, and yellow roses and
white 'mums respectively, Miss
Ruth Barker, King City, niece
of the bride, was flower girl,
frocked in pink nylon, and car-
ried a basket of pink roses.
Donald Barker, of King City,
was groomsman, and Ivan and
Robert MeClyment, of Varna,
brothers of the bride, ushered.
For receiving at the reception
held in the church parlors, the
bride's mother wore a gown of
crystalette in rose shade, cor-
sage of yellow roses and white
baby 'mums. The groom's
mother chose powder blue arnel
crepe with matching picture hat
with corsage of pink roses and
white baby mums.
For their wedding trip, the
bride travelled in a powder blue
summer suit, with accessories in
pink and white with which she
wore a corsage of pink roses.

The ninth Orr reunion was held
at Hanover Park on Sunday,
June 29 and 50 relatives enjoyed
dinner and supper.

the Hague, Holland, are visiting

at Quebec May 12, 1958. There
they visited with Mr. van Dyk's
brother whom he had not seen
for 32 years.
Mr, van Dyk, a retired train
conductor, is Mrs. Reobors uncle,
He has another brother, Mr. M.
van Dyk at Grand Bend.

Hamburg Bantams 18-3 in a ball
game at New Hamburg Monday
night. The Hensall team, spon-
sored by the I.O.O.F., will meet
