Thames Road Hnited Church,
decorated with ferns and baskets,
of red peenieS and, other spring
flowers. Lois. May Cottle. (laugh-
ter of Mr. and Mrs. Alvin 'cot -
tie, Thames Road, was united in
marriage to Arthur Lewis Harris,
son of Mr. and Mrs. Leonard
Harris, Kirkton. on Saturday,
June 7, at 2 o'clock.
Rev. Hugh Wilson performed
the ceremony and Mr. Ernest
Harris of Sarnia, uncle of the
groom, played traditional wed-
ding music, and accompanied,
the soloist, Mrs. William Cann,
who sung "The Lord's :Prayer"
and "VII 1k -elk Beside You."
Given in marriage by her
father the bride was lovely in
a floor length gown of white

taffeta with .fitted bodice, beaded'
neckline and lily point sleeves.

Ernie Harris was groomsman
for his brother, and ushers were
Ross Cottle, brother of the bride,
and Jim Harris, brother of the
groom.
A reception was held in the
church parlors with the bride's
mother wearing a .turquoise all
over lace dress with white ac-
cessories and corsage of pink
roses and while carnations. The
groom's mother chose a flowered
terylene dress with orange ice
accessories and matching cor-
sage.
For travelling to Northern On-
tario the bride changed to a
powder blue dress and matching
coat, with white accessories and
a corsage of .pink roses. '
On their return Mr, and Mrs.
Harris will reside on a farm
near Kirkton.
Guests were present from To-
ronto. Sarnia, London, Stratford,
Munro, Blyth, Science Hill and
Exeter.
Friends Shower

Last Tuesday evening, Mrs.
William Etherington was hostess
to relatives of Miss Amy Fisher,
bride -elect of Saturday. She was
presented with a shower of
miscellaneous gifts. Games and
contests were enjoyed.
On Friday afternoon, Mrs.
Frank Taylor was hostess to a
tea 'held in Amy's honor, at
which she was presented with a
gift.
On Friday night, another mis-
cellaneous shower was give.n by
Mrs. Garnet McFalls for Amy,
at which over 60 friends and
neighbors were present. The
evening was spent in contests
and readings.
Monday night, Mrs. Roy Rader
was hostess to friends and co-
workers who presented Amy with
gifts.

To Visit Festival
Plans were made to attend the
Shakespearean Festival at Strat-
ford, on Wednesday, June 25, at
the June business meeting of
the Exeter Kinettes, held at the
home of Mrs, John Burke on
Monday evening.'
Reports from the recent con-
vention at Hamilton were given
by Mrs. Les Parker, Mrs, John
Burke and Mrs. Lloyd Ford.
Three visitors from the Hensall
Kinette Club were present. Prost -
dent Mrs, Irvine Armstrong
chaired the meeting, and Mrs.
H. Preszcator assisted the
