There are two big prizes for

ing is a "mystery bell” which

will be a hidden alarm elock set

This weekend's celebration will

bas been torn apart and rebuilt
from front to back, top to bot-
tom, A new store front has been
erected, the interior redesigned
to provide the maximum in-

stands put thousands of hard-
ware items out where shoppers
can find them at a glance. Sec-
tions are clearly •narked for
quick identification of various
types •oaf merchandise.
A brilliant lighting system spot-
lights every item in the store.
With the opening, Drysdale
Hardware Limited joins a rapid-
ly expanding province -wide or-
ganization, which incorporates
the features of chain store buy-
ing but retains the advantage of
individual ownership. Crest stores

only one year ago and already
has many stores in, operation in

The opening marks the third
° f major change in the successful
Hensall store since it was
°ripened in 1911 -- 47 years ago.
The busiiwss began as Bonthron
and Drysdale, a partnership of
the late Jam's Bonthron and the
late Mark Drysdale, which in -
eluded furniture and undertak-
ing as well as hardware.
I The partnership was dissolved
5.1 in 1942 when the two men and
their sons established separate
' businesses.
In 1950, Drysdale Hardware
was formed as a limited com-
pany. Mr. Drysdale died. in 1956
and the sons have continued to
• expand the business.
