W.A. And W.M.S Meeting
The Christmas meeting of the
W.A. and W.M.S, was held in
the church basement' with a fair
attendance. Mrs. Archie Morgan
and Mrs. Edwin Miller were the
hostesses.
The worship service was taken
by Mrs, Donald Bray assisted
by Mrs. Melvin Gardiner, Mrs.
Edwin Miller and Mrs. Arnold
Cann. A Christmas reading was
given by Mrs. Donald Bray.
Mrs, H,. C. Wilson gave an in-
spiring Christmas message.
Mrs. William Rohde was in
charge of the program which
consisted .of a vocal : duet by
Mrs. Archie 'Morgan 'and Mrs.
Wm. Cann, a story by Mrs. Mel-
vin Gardiner and a reading by
Mrs. Rohde.
Attend Elimville Meeting
Sixteen ladies of the W.A. and
W.M.S. attended the Christmas
meeting at Elimville on Friday
afternoon. Mrs, W. H. Pike of
Ilderton was the guest speaker.
Mrs. John Selves recited "The
Last Hymn" and Mrs. William
Rohde played a piano solo.
Christmas 'Concert
The Sunday School Christmas
concert was held on Thursday
evening in the church basement
with a good attendance.
Mr. William Elford was chair-
man for the program which
consisted of Christmas numbers,
violin .and piano selections, vio-
lin and banjo selections, recita-
tions, and an address by Rev.
H. C. Wilson. F .
"The Christmas Story" was
enacted by four of the older
classes. 'Santa . Claus arrived
and gifts were distributed from
a well decorated tree,
Baby Band Party
Mrs. Mac Hodgert and Mrs.
Reg. Hodgert superintendents
of the Baby Band, entertained
the members and their mothers
on Saturday afternoon in the
church basement. Mrs. Mat
Hodgert conducted the meeting.
Mrs. Reg Hodgert read a story.
There were ten members who
passed through the white gate-
way to be greeted by the Mis-
ion Band superintendent, Mrs.

Mrs. Riley Hallman, a for-
mer resident of Stephen town,
ahip, died at• her home in To-
ronto on Thursday,. December
13.
The former Elizabeth Ratz,
she was. a daughter of :the late
Senator, and Mrs, Valentine
ltatz and was bern, and spent
her childhood days near Shipka.
She is survived by her hus-
band of Toronto and a sister,
Adeline Macdonald .of New Ham-
burg.
Funeral was held on Thurs-
day and interment was in New
Hamburg cemetery.
