the South Huron district execu-
tive meeting •which she and
Mrs. Westcott attended in Hen -
sail last Tuesday. M this meet-
ing it was announced that it was
Hurondale's turn to elect a
committee to prepare the list
for the WI's competition at Exe-
ter ,Fair, Mrs. Archie Morgan,
Mrs. Garnet Hicks and Mrs. NW -
ham Sillery were appointed the
committee.
Mrs. Garnet Hicks gave a re-
port of the fall Institute rally
held in Londesboro. The rally in
1958 will be held in South Huron,
The December meeting which
regularly would fall .on Christ-
mas Day will be held on January
8 in the afternoon at the home
of Mrs. Westcott,

fashioned en princess lines with

The bouffant skirt was appliqued
with lace motifs. A pillbox head-
dress studded with pearls and
sequins held her fingertip lace
veil. She carried a bouquet of
red and white roses.
Miss Marie Denomme, ,.:sister
of 'the bride, and Miss Monica
Gamble, sister of the groom,
• were the bridal attendants and
wore similar gowns of royal
blue velvet.
Thomas Scott, Sarnia, was
groomsman and ushers were

ence Oldham, London.
The bride changed to a blue
sheath with muskrat jacket,
white accessories and rose cor-
sage for travelling.

Plans • were made to send
flowers and gifts to the sick
and shut-ins of the parish for
Christmas. The visiting com-
mittee reported that they had
made over 60 calls and flowers,
fruit and cards had been sent
to the sick and hospitalized, and
floral. tributes to the bereaved.
Final arrangements w dr e
made for the forthcoming party
for branches from nearby com-
munities and also for a Christ-
mas pot -luck supper for the
ladies of the parish. The re-
mainder of the articles from
the bazaar were sold, and the
treasurer announced that the
Christmas bazaar had been a
success in spite of the bad
weather.
Mrrs. Les Gibson reported that
the junior choir was being train-
ed by Rev. Knox and several
of the members are now in the
regular choir. Mrs. Gibson and
Mrs. Dickins have been provid-
ing transportation for the junior
choir on practice nights.
Mrs. Heywood reported that
the kitchen in the rectory had
been painted and the bathroom.
had been retiled and modernized.
The outside of ,the rectory had
been completely painted and the
verandahs had been repaired
and the chimneys rebuilt.
