a closed season; $100 and $26
costs for taking rainbow trout
in closed season and fishing by
other means than angling; and a
third case where one man was
fined $300 for fishing by other
means than angling plus $too
for transporting the illegally
caught fish, with $16 costs added
in each- conviction.
In the Sudbury district, the
Ontario Lands and Forests De-
partment's patrol boat "The
Osprey" is making extensive
checks to insure that regulations
governing commercial fishing
are being obeyed, One commer-
cial fisherman recently appre-
hended in. the, North Channel of
Lake Huron' was fined $50 and
costs for fishing with an exces-
sive yardage 'and, in addition,
his boat, twine and fish were con-
fiscated,

Dies In Michigan
vy. Mrs. Mary B. Rapson, 84, wid-
vis- ow of the late Geo. A. Rapson,
nd died Tuesday after a brief ill-
ness in'Bad Axe,.Mich. hospital.
iss Born April 4, 1873 in Ontario,
Mrs. Rapson lived since 1929 in
Huron County, Mich. and before
that at Woodham for some 37
years.
She is sdrvived by four daugh-
ters: Mrs. Francis Hagerty,
NOW York' (Frankie); Mrs. Jas.
Howe, London ''(Viola'); Mrs.
Chester Hazlewood (Mervena),
Mrs. Lester W. McCurdy (Hen-
rietta) Detroit; also two sons,
Lloyd Colgan,, Bade Axe, _Mich.,
and Coroner James F. Colgan,
Elkton, Mich; a step -daughter,
Mrs. Ray Wildek of Baltimore,
Md., and a step -son, Arthur
Rapson of Bad Axe, Mich.; nine
grand children and nine great
grandchildren and four sisters:
Miss Carolyn Montray and Mts.
Lucy Nelson of Clearwater, Fla.
and Mrs. Alice Kinch and Mrs.
Sophia Finch both of Detroit.
Remains rested in the Collon-
Colgan, funeral home, Bad Axe,
until 12 noon Friday then re-
moved to the FIrst Presbyterian
Church where the funeral serv-
ices were held at 2 p.m. con-
ducted' by the Rev. Joseph Ryan.
Burial was in Colfax cemetery,
Bad Axe, Mich.

well 'party was held in S.S. No.
6 school. for Miss Donna Par-

the past two years.

lamps on behalf of the pupils
