Frederick J. Foxton Was Culross Native Frederick Joseph Foxton, a former resident of this district, passed away in Wellesley Hospital, Toronto, on July 27th, after a long illness. He was in his 62nd year. Born on the 1st concession of Cul­ ross, he moved to Toronto about forty years ago. He was a* member of the Toronto Police Force from early man­ hood until his retirement seven years ago because of ill health. Surviving are his wife, the former Bessie Hume and one son,-' Hume. Four sisters and five brothers also survive, Mrs. Frances Cassels, Shoal Lake, Manitoba; Mrs. Jas. L. Mair, Winnipeg; Mrs. Henrietta MacDon­ ald, Wingham; Mrs. Leroy Bender, Clifford; William J. Foxton, Decker, Manitoba; Albert, Harold, Herb and Milford, of Wingham. Two brothers, John and Henry predeceased him. Funeral service was held on Satur­ day, July 30th, in the Humphrey Funeral 'Chapel, Yonge Street, Toron­ to, with Rev. R. H. Parr officiating. Ford- Mem- Howard S. Rumple Dies in Listowel Howard Semple Rumple, of wich died suddenly in Listowel orial Hospital on Saturday, July 23rd, as the result of a car accident. He was in his 51st year. A veteran of the Second World War, Mr. Rumple was born in Greensville. He served for 6% years in the signal corps of the Canadian Army, and at the time of his death~was engaged in the painting and decorating business in Fordwich. He was married dn 1938 to Winnifred Maltby, of Hamilton, who survives. Also surviving are two sons Harry, age 16, of Hamilton and Robert, 14, at home, and one daughter, Ruth, 12, also at home. Three sisters, Rose, of Clinton, Lillian (Mrs. W. R. Camp­ bell) of Hamilton, and. Vera (Mrs. J. Ellis) of Gasport, N.Y., also sur­ vive. Funeral service was held from the Fordwich United Church on Tuesday, July 26th, with Rev. J. Hird officiat­ ing. Interment was in Fordwich Cemetery.
