Mr. Cardiff recalled that he had cited Exeter’s need for a new ad dition last year during Cpmmons con sideration of Public Works Depart ment estimates. He had understood then that Public Works Minister Winters would send an engineer to Exeter an make an estimate of what was* required. Exeter had a good post office build ing, but the community had grown to such an extent that the accommo dation no longer was large enough. One reason for this, was the fact that Centralia Airport was near by and many of the air station’s person nel lived in Exeter. A new post office was needed in Hensall and as far as the Govern ment was concerned, it had agreed that one should be built. The Huron MP asked the minister to investigate both situations.
