One of the main topics in discus sion pertained to the club’s re-organiz ation of the amateur radio emergency corps created lengthy discussions and different views. It was agreed that an emergency net be established and members of the club would establish communications every Wed nesday night, linking the various local towns together and passing along any important traffic which may occur. The towns will ’include Kincardine, Brussels, Mildmay, Paisley, Port El gin, and Hanover*’ In the near future it is hoped-that the short wave listen ers from Walkerton, Teeswater, Clif- t^g<ford, Neustadt and Wingham will I obtain their ham licenses and join in ] with the emergency net. During the meeting Doug Leach VE3DWG, of Brussels, gave a re schedule of the club activities during each meeting which will include Busi ness, minutes, radio theory, discus sion, swap club, and a lecture. The next meeting will be held in Hanover, on May 22nd. At this time it is hoped there will' be present a very distinguished ham operator known to all hams as Wally Hainge VE3IB, of Toronto, the grandfather of all the hams since the days of the old spark transmitter. It is hoped that all those interested in amateur radio will turn opt and become members of the club. POSTED TO WHITEHORSE YUKON TERRITORY Lieutenant ‘Nursing Sister Alice K. Dated this 9th day of May, A.D. 1955, CRAWFORD & HETHERINGTON Wingham, Ontario Solicitors for the Administratrix 11:18:25b MY BROTHER’S KEEPER “Am I my brother’s keeper?” This question has come down through^the centuries. Cain had murdered his brothei* Abel. God called to him, "Where is thy brother?’ Hot with anger, rebellious with hate, his words tumbled out, “I know not, am I my brother’s keeper?” And all the voices of all men down through the un counted years have replied as Cain’s own conscience dictated, “You are.” Between the time of Cain and Paul, many centuries rolled along. Yet we find this Christ-filled follower of Jesus writing to the Romans, “It is good neither to eat flesh, nor to drink wine, nor anything whereby thy brother stumbleth or is offended or is made weak.” Too bad that the Ro mans did not heed Paul’s warning. They became the infamous gluttons and wine-soaked revellers of the an cient world. They are relegated to history books. But Paul’s words are a sobering manifesto to us to-day* Either we will heed his warning or we too will become one with Nineveh and Tyre, Sodom and Gomorrah, or Ancient Rome.—Advertisement, 18b SUPER-30 Super-30 control panel with "Supermatic” time clock for fully automatic oven operation.
