Angus Carmichael, Brussels, Mrs. Joe
Hart, Seaforth, Mrs> Alonzo Sparling,
Gorrie, Mrs. Wm. Hanna, of Kings
ville.
A private funeral was held Tuesday,
Aug. '5th, from the home of his bro
ther, William Hart,. Wroxeter. Pall

Earls - Doig
A very pretty wedding was solemn
ized Saturday, August 2nd, at three
o’clock, in St. Andrew’s Presbyterian
Church, Moleswprth. The ceremony
took place in front of an altar banked
with ferns, gladioli, monkshood and
phlox, the Rev. Robert Acheson 'offic
iating, when Miss Dorothy Jean Doig,.
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Willjam
Doig, became the bride of Mr Fran
cis McBride Earls, son of Mrs. Agnes
Earls and the late Robert Earls, all
of Howick Township.
The bride, entering the church on
the arm of her father, was .charming in
a white taffeta floor-length dress with
embroidered bodice, finger-tip veil
with halo head-dress of seed pearls,
’and carrying a bouquet of Richmond
roses.
Miss Bessie Munro of Ottawa was
bridesmaid, wearing floor-length igown
of turquoise^blue net with a matching
finger-tip veil, and carried a bouque't
of pink roses. The groom was assisted,
by the bride’s brother, Mr. Hugh Doig.
The ushers were Mr. Gordon Mundell
of Gorrie, brother-in-law of the bride,
and’ Mr. Wesley Lambkin of Drayton,
the bride’s cousin.
Miss Jean Lane, of Belmore placed
the wedding music.’ While the guests
wbre being seated Master Wayne An-
kenman of Gowanstown sang “I Love
You Truly” and during the signing of
the ' register Mrs. Russell Kidd of
Lyndhdrst, Ont., sahg “All Joy Be
Thine.”
Following1 the ceremony, sixty-five
guests were received at the home of
the bride. Receiving with the bride
and groom were their attendants, the
bride’s parents and the groom’s moth
er. Mrs. Doig wore a blue sheer dress
with matching hat, and corsage of
Madame Butterfly roses. Mrs Earls
was attired in black dress and hat,
corsage of pale pink foses.
The decorations were pink and
white, featuring garden phlox. The
bride’s cake and tapers of pink and
white adorned the table. A delicious
buffet supper was served. *
Amid showers of cofifttti and good
wishes, Mr, and Mrs. Earls left on a
honeymoon to the Thousand Islands
points east, the bride travelling in
a suit of flavy blue, with white access

as Rev. G. H. Dunlop is taking a vaca
tion for three weeks. Aug. 24th the

,will take the service and on Sunday,
Aug. 31st, the Triple V Bible Class of
Knox United Church, take the service.

The girls’ meeting of the Women’s
Institue will be held on Tuesday, Aug.
19th, at 2.30 p.m. at the home of Mrs.
