This, we believe, is a record that we should be happy about. The firemen deserve much of the credit for this fine showing. They take care when at a fire not to destroy any pro perty unless it is necessary. They al so keep an eye open and have any fire-traps looked after. We have a good volunteer fire bri gade and they deserve every co-op eration from the citizens. We have asked several people how they would place a fire call and- in six cases out of seven we received the wrong an swer. Call 100 on the phone and re plant at the phone until you are ask ed the location of the fire. FISH AND GAME CLUBS . During the past month two fish and game clubs have been organized, in this district, one here and one at Wroxeter. With the formation of these clubs it may be that before long our rivers , and streams will be a sportsman’s paradise as they used to be years ago. The object of these clubs is to stock streams and to edu cate people to obey the game laws and by. this means have our rivers and streams abound with, fish of the best type suited location. Some had clubs were f< ing fish such as people with great means have but this is entirely wrong. These clubs are formed with the ex press purpose of bringing: back nat ural fishing conditions and of course the members are those most interest ed in this sport. These clubs deserve support and we hope the public may give them every support. 4« ijs ❖ Ms Marshal Goering of Germany is vis iting in Spain.
