Phyllis Haugh, of the Pinpop-
pettes, who won the cup and sau
cer for the high triple of the week
with a 656, led her team for a
five-point pickup.

Hawks and the Frisky Six.
Betty Sangster, of the Nite
Hawks, rolled a superb 270 game
for the cup and saucer high
single award.

Pee Wee hockey at the arena
last Saturday morning saw the
Black Hawks .thumping the 'Leafs
by a score of 3-1 on goals by
Ricky Boyle, Lester Heywood
and Stan Lesnick.
The lone Leaf goal was scored
by Ron Oke.
In the second Pee Wee game
Rockets, led by Don Cann with
two goals and an assist, white
washed Canadiens 6-0. Freddy
Wells was also a two-goal man
with singles going to Ldrry
Brintnell and Garry Lewis.
Boston Bruins defeated Red
Devils 5-2 in the first- Wee Wee
and Squee Gee game.
Brian Marriage with a __
trick and Don Wright with a
pair of goals were the Bruin
marksmen while the Red Devil
scorers were Doug Stanwick and
Bill Denneau.'
The Blue Devils humbled Mo
hawks in the second game to a
tune of 9-0.. Ricky Schroeder
scored a hat trick while’ doubles
went to Eddie Lindenfield and
Peter. Ellis.
Doug Elliott and Ken Bjoust-
ron rounded out the scoring with
single counters.

lanes for curling have been set

Tournament
Walkerville, of Windsor, came
through in flying colours on Sat
urday at the University of West
ern Ontario to win the senior
boys’ volleyball championship
without suffering a defeat.
Walkerville ended up on top of
a field of six finalist, teams, who
played a round robin series, to
capture the laurels.
South . Huron District High
School- didn’t fare too well in the
tournament as the local squad
dropped all five games they par
ticipated in.
The South Huron team was
stopped by Windsor 15-2; Wallace
burg 15-4; Tillsonburg 15-6; Lon
don 150, and Owen Sound 15-8.
However, all of the South Hu
ron players who made the trip to
London saw action and gained
valuable experience for next
year.
Final standings of the teams
were as follows: Windsor, Lon
don, Tillsonburg, Wallaceburg,
Owen Sound and South Huron.
