Anniversary A .large congregation attended the W.M.S. anniversary service in the United Church on Sunday morning when the Rev. D. C. Blackmore of the Caradoc In­ dian' Mission was the guest speaker, in his address Rev. Blackmore outlined his work on the Reserve. He said thaGthe tomahawk and scalpel days' In the life of the Indian were a thing of the past. Educational and religious training had im­ proved their standard of living. The speaker, was accompanied by his choir from the Muncey Reserve who provided special music for the service and great­ ly impressed4heir listeners. One number was sung in their own language, The service was an Inspiring one in both message and song, s W.M.S. Meeting Mrs. Elmer Powe, Mrs. A. Smith and Mrs. G. McFalls were in charge of the worship service and program at the June meet­ ing of the W,M,s. in the school­ room of the church on Tuesday evening. Mrs. Ross McFalls sang a solo. The leaders were in charge of the study book, “Education of Indians” and gave an accpunt of the provisions made by.the church and state, for the .Can­ adian Indiah in education, health and welfare, services. This (was followed by a discus­ sion, .led by Mrs. Powe, on. the Indian and his way of life, It was decided to entertain the Baby Band, and mothers, and Mission Band at the August meeting instead of at the July meeting’.
