Lucan and Evelyn are now
deadlocked with .a game apiece
in the Thames Valley League
finale. Owing to a downpour of
rain the opening game, which was
to have been played in Luean last
Monday, was ,played in Evelyn
with . Lucan winning 4-2, making
12 . consecutive wins. However,
the thirteenth game proved to be
a jinx Thursday night when
Evelyn defeated them 2-1 at
Lucan, The final game will be
played in Lucan Tuesday .night.

In the W.O,A.A; Junior Girls'
Softball semi-finals, Dashwood
girls defeated Lucau girls in two
straight games, taking the first

Hodgins Reunion
On Sunday, August 21, 75 de-
scendants of Mr. and 'Mrs. James
A. Hodgins met at Springbank
for their annual get-together.
The president this year was Mr.
Allan Elston, of Exeter.
Among those present were the
Alvin McLean family, Elgin -field;
the E. L. Gibson family, Exeter,
and Mr. Alfred Hodgins, Gran-
ton. Miss Hattie Hodgins, Lucan,
who is still in St. Joseph's Hos-
,pital, had to. miss the reunion
again.
