Don Gravett started the. big in-
ning off with a walk and Bob

Harry Holtzman received a free

hitters who gave Mohawk's star

though he allowed only two hits,

New Mohawk catcher, Ken Sax-
ton, had trouble with his control,
too. Two bad throws at second
cost •the locals two runs, In the
hitting department, however, Sax-
ton topped both teams with a
pair of sharp singles.
Auburn scored two runs in the
first inning when Mitro gave
three free passes, George 'Wright
started the round off with a sing-
le, moved to second when Bob
Yungblut, the Auburn pitcher,
walked. He came ihame when Sax -
ton's throw went into the dirt.
Yungblut scored on Bill Patter -
son's in field grounder. Mitro
walked two others but left them
on base.

Mohawks tied the count In the
second when Saxton led off with
one of his singles, reached third
on an outfielder's fumble, then
scored on a steal, Mitro, who fol-
lowed Saxton, won a free ride to
first, stole second, went to third
when the first• baseman fumbled
Lorne 'Haugh's grounder and came
home on a sacrifice fly hit Ihy
Don Wells.
. Red Loader put the •tribe a-
head, •3-2 in the third when he
slammed a triple, longest hit of
the game. He scored on a •bad
throw by the Auburn .backstop.

Start Soccer
On Saturday
Exeter's new soccer team will
make its debut on Saturday night
when It meets Strathroy in its
first league contest. The game
will be played on the playing
field of SHDHS. •
.The team, managed by Rene
van der Neut, began practicing
last year and staged several ex-
hibition games. This year the club
joined organized competition. An-
other game is scheduled for July
1 with a Hamilton team.
There will be no admission
charge for Saturday's game.
