After, dropping their first two games of the season, the Clin- ton Colts have run an unbeaten string of six games and seem to have found the winning com- bination. Outstanding goaltending from Dennis Fleischauer and nary Black is the biggest reason why the Colts find themselves in second place behind the Port Elgin Sunocos in the six-team league. Mel Hohner and Colt captain, Ken Daer, since the start of the season, have been among the top ten point-getters in the league. But the biggest reason is that the Colts have been making fewer appearances in the penalty box this year. Playing in the W.O.A.A. league over the last two years the Colts had been league leaders in penalty minutes assessed, but under the coaching of Bob "Joe" Liver- more and the new rules presen- ted by the O.H.A. the Colts have greatly decreased the trips to the penalty box. Last Friday night before a disappointing crowd, the Colts came up with their best effort of the season as they tied the Port Elgin Sunocos 3-3 in a well-played game. Port Elgin was last year's All-Ontario Intermediate 'C' Champions and seem to be a strong contender for that title again this year.
