The Clinionian Club held
their Nov. 7 meeting at the
home of Mrs. Lue Falconer's
with 19 present. The president,
Mrs. Leona Lockhart, opened
the meeting with the
housewife's creed, followed by
the Lord's Prayer,
The minutes of the last
meeting were read and adop-
ted. Mrs. Viola Lampman gave
the financial report. Pearl
Cumming gave the flower
report.Irne the cards. 33 home
calls had been made, A letter
from the C,N.I.B• was read,
asking for a donation and it
was passed that they send $5 to
the C,N.I.B. and $25 to the
Salvation Army. The Banquet
dinner will be held on the 19th
of November at 6 p.m. It was
decided to have a bus trip to
London on the 10th of Decem-
ber.
Clinton
Court
report
In Clinton court last Wed-
nesday, Nov. 6, Barry Begeman
of Goderich was sentenced to
one week in jail, and he had his
licence suspended for nine
months after he was found
guilty of impaired driving.
Kenneth Deweerd of RR 1,
Londesboro, was fined $150 for
having liquor in a place other
than his residence. Fined $53
for the same offence were Keith
Holland of RR 4, Clinton, and
Kevin Spencer of Clinton.
Stanley Burbine and
Lawrence Murphy, both of
Nova Scotia, paid fines of $38
each for having liquor in a
place other than their
residence.
Fined $53 for making un-
necessary noise were Evert
Stryker of RR 4, Seaforth,
Elmer Sanderson of Blyth, and
Gordon Gilfillan of Clinton.
Gilfillan was also fined $53 for
having liquor in a place other
than his residence.
Pearl conducted the Dutch
Auction and winners were
Gladys Floggarth, MaylAle
Glazier, Margaret .Thorndike,
and Florence Rouzeton.
Next mont,h on Dec, 5 the
Christmas meeting will be held
at Margaret Thorndike's with a
pot-luck dinner at 1 p.m,
Everyone is to bring their own
dishes. There will be no ex-
change of gifts. Donors of ar-
ticles for Dutch auction for
December are Edpa Adams,
Dorothy Frey, Josie Cum-
mingham and Mrs. Nivans,
