these letters would they 'pleaSe see that
they are returned to their proper place or
notify the office as to where they may be
found.

on Concession 3 at sideroad 30 and one on
Concession 4 at County Road 12, will
require new rails in the near future. He
said the abutments were good on each but
the rails were not. He stated it would be
hard to predict the possible cost of the,
work but suggested it might be $4,000 for
one and $8,000 fdr the other.
Passed for payment were road accounts
of $2,668.96 and genefal accounts of
$37,137.30. Mrs. McClure noted that
$32,000 of the general accounts was for tile
drain loans.
At the adjournment of the meeting, the
press representative asked the members of
council if they intended to stand for re-
election at the upcoming municipal election
on December 2; All members indicated they
would seek re-election.
Reeve Allan Campbell of RR 1, Seaforth,
with 14 years on council, six of them as
reeve, was asked if he would be considering
running for the warden's office and he said
he was planning to do this, McKillop's last
warden was the late Kenneth Stewart in
1966.
Other members of the council seeking re-
election are: Deputy Reeve Ralph
McNichol of RR 4, Walton, 14 years on

McKillop Township Council members
were informed at their meeting Monday
that the recreation meeting they requested
with Seaforth will be held Thursday,
November 7 at the Seaforth. Library at 8
p.m.
Delegates from the Seaforth Recreation
Committee visited MeKillop in September
asking for a grant of $1,100 'to assist in
costs of recreation offered by the town. At
the. October meeting of council, three
McKillop ratepayers asked why the
Seaforth Recreation Committee was
proposing that a surcharge be levied
against McKillop residents using
recreation facilities in Seaforth. It was
when McKillop Council could not answer
that it was agreed to ask for the recreation
meeting to get the answers to whether the
grant money was to go to the Community
Centre or to the Recreation Committee,
and other questions. The meeting is to be
open to the ratepayers from Tuckersmith
and Hibbert and their members of council
as well.
Requests for building permits were gran-
ted to: Leonard Chapman, Walton,
replacing siding on house; Ian Wilbee,
RR 1 Walton, replace siding on house;

notification was late and should have been
included in the advertisements that were
put in the 'local weeklies for the past two
editions of the 'papers.
Council will ask the school boards to ac-

and December 15 again this year.
The Recreation Committee of the Town
of Seaforth invited the council and town-
ship residents to a meeting in Seaforth
Library on Nov. 7 at 8 p.m. to discuss costs
of recreation offered by the town and how
these costs could be shared by the town-
ships of Tuckersrnith, McKillop and Hib-
bert,
The County Land Division Committee

December 1. Court of Revision was held
on Dill Drainage Works, with no appeals.
McKillop will not be participating in the
Ontario Home Renewal Program spon-
sored by the Ministry of Housing as it was
not considered worthwhile as legal fees
would take too much of the small amount
of money offered, as well an inspector
would be reouired to oversee it.
Gary Davidson, Director of Huron Plan-
ning Department, asked council for support
of a uniform building permit for County of
Huron similar to one used by County of
Brant. Reeve Allan Campbell said he felt it
would be a good thing to have a uniform
permit but agreed with Deputy Reeve
Ralph McNichol that the Brant permit was
more suitable for an urban area than a
rural county like Huron. "It would need
revisions," the reeve said, "and a building
inspector would be necessary to enforce a
county building permit plan."
Council may consider in 1975 requesting
from landowners seeking land severences
five per cent of cash value u of land severed
to,tie used for recreational purposes in the
township. This is a regulation which
McKillop has not been requesting but
Alai is followed by many surrounding
municipalities.
Council noted that a landowner was
requesting a rebate on taxes for 1973 on
an implement shed which had been torn
down in 1972. The rebate was granted but
the clerk, Mrs. Kenneth McClure stated
that anyone removing a building from
property is supposed to get a form from her
to notify the assessment office for the
change in the assessment.
William Campbell, road superintendent,
reported two bridges in the township, one
