furlong race on the main course.
Host Fergie Olver welcomes Triple Crown Cham-
pion Jockey Eddy Arcaro as his special guest.
Veteran sportsman Daryl Wells calls the race.
This year there is a $40,000 added purse. Jockey
John Bell rode Musketeer Miss for first-place prize
of $30,000 in last year's competition. Probable en-
tries for this year's events are: Rushton's Corsair,
owned by A.W. Minshall; Amber Herod of Stafford
Farms; G.C. Hendrie's Native Aid; Haymaker's Jig
of Gardener Farms; Sea Reason of Elmbrook
Stables, and Progressive Hope of T V Stables.
Four-camera coverage provides the action for
viewers, and the winning ride will be replayed on
slow motion cameras.
