The fourth meeting of the
Clinton II 441 was held on Oc.
tober 7th at Mrs, Tyndall's at
7:30 "p.in, The meeting was
opened by Judy Tiesma our
president.

We discussed the plans for
informal and formal teas and
the type of food to be served.
Our leader demonstrated the
proper ways to serve the tea,
Six of our members made pin-
wheel, ribbon, and open faced
sandwiches, Our assistant
leader, Mary Brand, made
Checkerboard, open face, lilies
arid rollup sandwiches. All
were very delicious.
To finish our meeting we had
an "afternoon tea", Our leader
was hostess and she was
assisted by Diana Brand
making the tea; Janice Miller
and Helen to Brinke served the
tea; Brenda Cardinal served
the cream and sugar„ Sand-
wiches were !mind by Mary
Jean Betties and Jo Anne
'Cook. Books .titled "All about
Sandwiches" were given to
each member.
The next meeting is October
21 at 7 p,m. at Holmesville
School.
Two area men, who retired
from the Tockersmith
Municipal Telephone System,
were honored recently at a
gathering at the Pineridge
Chalet,
Art Nicholson of Seeforth,
who retired after 27 years as a
commissioner, and William
Dawson of Verna, who retired
after la years as a lineman
were' each presented with an
-engraved pen set.
Murray McKenzie of Clinton
an employee, was also honored
at the dinner when he was
presented with a pen set in
recognition of his more than 20
years service to the System,

In Clinton Court last week,
Kenneth Wayne McPhee of
Goderich was. fined $200 for
possession of marijuana.
Wayne.George Tucker of
Goderich was fined $100 on the
same charge,
Given an absolute discharge
after being found guilty of
possession of marijuana were

Goderich and David Andrew
Wise of Clinton,
Donald F.' Adam of Fergus
was fined $150 and had his
driver's license suspended for
three months on a charge of im-
paired driving, and he was
fined $35 for having liquor in a
place other than his residence,

four hosPital calls had been
made.

banquet dinner. Final
arrangements were made for a
Hot Turkey dinner to be held
on Nov. 20th. Euchre will be
played after the banquet.
Mrs. Mote won the Mystery
prize and Pearl Cummings con-
ducted the Dutch auction with
winners being Leona Lockhart,
Mayme Glazier, Bessie
Colclough, Gladys Hoggarth,
Viola Lampman, Lue Falconer,
Jennie Wise.
Lou Falconer and Jennie
Wise are to bring articles for
the November 7 Dutch auction.
The November meeting will
be held at Lue Falconer's. Bir-
thday cake and ice 'cream will
be served for lunch. Gladys

Holmesville I 4-H
The third meeting of the
Holmesville I 4-H was held on
Sept. 30 at Holmesville Public
School. Ann Elliott opened the
meeting with everyone
repeating the 4-H pledge. The
minutes were read from the
last meeting by Patricia Harris.
We will not know until the
next meeting if there will be a
meeting on Thanksgiving.
Achievement Day is to be held
Nov. 30, 1974. In the discussion
Mrs. Yeo told us how to enter-
tain a guest and how to be a
guest.
Our assistant leader, Brenda
Wise, demonstrated how to
pack a suitcase. In our group
„work we all wrote invitations,
replies, and thank you notes
and some of them were read af-
ter Mrs. Yeo had given a brief
outline on writing them. We
then closed the meeting with
