You've got to keep on growing.
One little ad won't do it all,
You've got to keep them going.

Gazpacho, a mouth-watering
blehd of tomatoes, cucumber,
green pepper, onion and
seasonings is a family-pleaser
you'll want to make again and
again. This zippy "salad soup"
can be prepared in minutes and
lends color, novelty and
nutrition to fall meals, say food
specialists at the Ontario Food
Council, Ministry of
Agriculture and Food,
Gazpacho is a great begin-
ning for any meal especially
now when Ontario vegetables
are in abundant supply, Fresh
vegetables contribute not only
flavor and freshness, but good
nutritive value per calorie as
well. For instance, a 3/4 cup ser-
ving of Gazpacho has about 100
calories and a serving for it can
qualify as an excellent source
of vitamin A and vitamin C, a
vitamin frequently lacking in
the diet of many Canadians.
Gazpacho recipes sometimes
suggest a dollop of sour cream.
If you're counting calories, dq
without, as each tablespoon
adds an extra 25 calories!
Because Gazpacho soup can
be assembled in seconds, well
in advance of meal time, the
cook is able to spend more time
enjoying the "Fall" sun, and
yet please family and guests
too.
Gazpacho Soup
Take your salad ingredients
... tomatoes, cucumbers, onions,
green pepper and whirl them in
a blender. Add a little
seasoning, oil and lemon juice,
and presto ... a soup fit for a
gourmet. Food specialists at the
Ontario food Council, Ministry
of Agriculture and Food, love
this recipe and hope you will
too!
