John Harrison of Stonehopse Antiques, which is just east of Clinton, has one of the oldest
pieces of fire fighting equipment in Canada, a hand-made brass pumper That was hand puma
ped by two men. The pumper, which he imported from England, is at least 175-years-old and is
valued at over $4,500. The pumper is in perfect working condition except for a hole in the side that may have been caused when it was hit by a piece of shrapnel in the last war. (News-
