Tourism means jobs.
This is what Ontario is doing
to keep the tourists coming.
Tourism is good for Ontario. Tourists take
nothing away except happy memories, but
they leave plenty of money behind them.
That's why your Ontario government seeks
to attract visitors to our' province, and asks
for your help in making them feel welcome.
Already, tourism is Ontario's 3rd largest
inastry. It provides jobs for over 154,000
people, quite possibly including you and
your neighbours, What's more, by 1978
Ontario expects to play host to enough visitors
to create 85,000 additional jobs.
A worthwhile goal, certainly. But how can all
.this be accomplished? Here are some of the
things that your Ontario government is doing:
We're making loans for the development of
tourist fad lilies—through the Ontario Business
Incentives Program, Ontario Development
Corporation, Eastern Ontario Development
Corporation, and Northern Ontario Develop-
ment Corporation. .1
Ontario now has Tourism specialists in
London (Eng.), Los Angeles, Frankfurt, and
Tokyo.
We are working with airlines, railroads and
bus companies to promote the pleasures of
Ontario.
We are striving to bring conventions to
smaller as well as larger communities, and
to resort areas, especially during off seasons.
We are supporting your local Travel Associ-
ations, with ample money to promote local
tourism.
We are promoting the attractions of our
Province by advertising throughout Ontario
and nearby U.S. states.
You can help us welcome visitors by
greeting them in a friendly manner, and
showing them g3nuine hospitality.
Encourage visitors to come back, and to
bring their friends.
If we all do our share, we can increase the
number of tourists who come here, and that's
not only good for the tourists —it's good for
Canada, good for Ontario, and good for you.

Clinton Soccer Club main-
'tained its unbeaten league
record and stormed nearer
Promotion to the Second
Division with a big 5-3 victory
over Ingersoll Flyers at the
weekend, despite playing
without the services of three
key defencemen.
Clinton came out strong and
should have been two goals up
in the same number of minutes,
but instead found themselves
one goal down when Ingersoll
scored from a free kick.
Clinton continued to outplay
the opposition and Brian Jewitt
tied the game after a lot of
hard work in the goalmouth by
himself and Charlie Lipp.
Lipp then put Clinton into a
lead that they never lost when
he scored from a free kick, and
Jewitt added his second goal
after Randy Millar had hit the
goalpost.
The teams turned around at
half time with Clinton leading
3-1.
Jewitt got his hat-trick when
he converted a beautiful
scissor-kick pass from Graham
Yeats to put Clinton further
ahead.
Clinton then stopped playing
soccer and allowed Ingersoll to
come into the game.
Doug Rielly, in goal had to
work hard to prevent Ingersoll
scoring on numerous occasions.

decided to play in the Ontario

The club made the decision
at a meeting held last Monday
night in Clinton.
Other teams that are ten-
tatively in the OHA with Clin-
ton are Milverton, Goderich,
Seaforth and Zurich.
The Colts hope to begin prac-
tices by the end of next week, if
ice can be made in time at the
arena.
The club also plans a dance
on November 9 to raise needed
fun& for the 1974-75 season.

Recreation Committee has
received only 40 replies from.
the 800 questionnaires the.
sent out asking about wha

are presently a wide range of
recreational facilities available
in the township for everything
