McKillop Township Council,
meeting in Winthrop Tuesday,
authorized Bill Campbell., road
superintendent, the ministry of
communications and transpor-
tation for an additional $5,000
road subsidy grant. for main-
tenance work on township
roads.
Applications for building per-
mits were granted to: Gordon
Blanchard, R.R. 4, Walton,
replacing siding on house and
part of barn; Matt Murray,
R.R. 1, Dublin, replacing siding
on house; Gary McNichol, R.R.
4, Walton, porch addition to
house; Ben Wilson, R.R. 1,
Seaforth, mobile home porch
addition; Walter McClure, R.R.
2, Seaforth, addition to barn
and steel granary; Glen
McNichol, R.R. 4, Walton, im-
plement shed; John Scoontiens,
R.R. 5, Seaforth, granary; and
Jack Perry, R.R. 4, Walton,
new house.
Passed for payment were
road accounts totalling
$17,473.07 and general ac-
counts, $6,338.29.
Requests to the township for
land severances, prior to
making application for them to
tiie Huron County Land
'Severance Committee, were
granted to Leverne Hugill, R.R.
2, Seaforth for approximately
four to five acres on Lot 35,
Concession 2; Harold Storey,
R.R. 1, Seaforth, for ap-
proximately 2 112 acres on Lot
34, Concession 8 and Lorne
Glanville, R,R. 4, Walton, for
three acres on Lot 27 Co
cession 8.
Applications for five tile
drainage loans for $27,800 were
granted.
Passed for payment was the
maintenance and caretaking fee
for the first six months,
January to the end of June, to
the Walton Waste Disposal for
$733.50 - McKillop's share of
expenses.
Mrs. Cardno reported that
with the number of
McKillop residents and
children using recreation
facilities in the town such as
hockey, figure skating that it
was considered the township's
share was $1,500 for this year.
After the delegation left the
McBride - Allan
Rev, Don Beck officiated at
the marriage of Pauline Grace
Allan and Ronald McBride on
August 2, 1974 in Hensall
United Church.
The bride is the daughter of
Mr, and Mrs. Garnet Allan of
Hensall, and the grooms
parents are Mr. and Mrs. Bert
McBride of R.R, 1, Zurich. The
churCh was decorated with
white candelabra, bouquets of
yellow daisies and mums with
white daffodils. Bob Cameron
was the organist.
Given in marriage by her
father, the bride wore a full-
length gown, V-neckline and
long slim sleeves, with an ern-

pire waist line, a full skirt with
an attached cathedral train in
Lagoda. The gown was accen,
ted with seed pearls and
pleated ruffling on neckline,
sleeves and skirt. She carried a
bouquet of yellow roses with
baby's breath. The bride's veil
was French silk illusion finger
tip falling from a Juliet cap of
guipure lace.
The bridal attendants were
June Maxwell, maid-of-honour,
Joan Allan, and Judy McBride,
Kitchener, as bridesmaids, and
Kathy McDonald as flower girl.
The maid-of-honor and flower
girl were dressed alike in
yellow swiss dot empire waist,
puffed sleeved dresses. The
bridesmaids wore blue swiss
dot halter dresses with mat-
ching capes. They all wore
white picture hats. Their
flowers were nosegays of yellow
daisies and white carnations.
The best man was Albert
Brall of Holmesville and the
ushers were Lloyd Allan,
brother of the bride, and
Wayne Beierling of R.R. 1,
Zurich.
A reception and dance was
held in the Zurich Community
Centre.
For a wedding trip to Ottawa
and Niagara Falls the bride
wore a brown halter dress with
matching jacket and white ac-
cessories.
The bride end grOutil
reside at Goderich,
members of council discussed
the grant but decided to table it
for the present until a further
study is made on recreation
and McKillop's participation.
Council members expressed
concern at the many requests
for grants made to them. Reeve
Allan Campbell said, "I know
these grants are all requested
for very worthwhile, causes, but
where do we draw the liner'

Three members of the Arena
Board and the Seaforth
Recreation Committee atten-
ded the council meeting to
request a grant to help meet
recreation costs for the
programs offered to Seaforth
and area. The members were
Mrs. Betty Cardno, town coun-
cillor; Clive Buist,
.Seaforth Recreation Director;
and Lloyd Rowat of the
Recreation Committee.
In the under six months class at the baby show at the
Bayfield Fair last Saturday, first was Mary Clara, left,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joe i3eechie of London. Second
