An .Exeter girl has been
charged with dangerous driving
following a high speed chase
.early last .Sunday morning,
The ,chase started in Clinton
when the to.wn'. cruiser gave
pursuit to car that failed' to
atop,. After leading the police
car through. ,Sideroacls in.
Goderich Township, the con-
stables in the Clinton' cruiser
were able to halt the girl near
Holmeaville, but the police car
suffered about $250 damage in
the chaae,
Jane Bowerman of Exeter,
who had just received her
drivers licence three days
before, was charged with
dangerous driving in connec-
tion with the incident,
A safe, with a hole. blown...in
the bottom was discovered in a
farm pond at the Goderich
ToWnship residence of Mr, and
Mrs. Gary Potter, The find was
made when guests of the family
decided to go swimming.
The OPP, Goderich Detach-
ment is investigating, and it is
believed the safe is the same
one that was stolen last week
from the Country Market at
Vanastra. The safe contained
at least $3,000 and was empty
when discovered in the pond.
