Also visiting with them last weekend were Mr. and Mrs. Dougal Campbell of Mitchell. * * * Mrs. D. F. Henderson of Sioux City, Iowa, has been visiting relatives in the vicinity,. - Mr. and Mrs, R. Y. McLaren of Hensall and Mrs. Margaret Evans of Guelph. While here Mrs. Henderson was resear- ching news of her husband's ancestors in the Clinton-Exeter area. Mr. Peter Henderson taught school in this area. * * * From Milngavie, Scotland have come Mr. and Mrs. John Williamson to visit for three weeks with the former's cousin, Mr. and Mrs. J. N. Hart of Rat- tenbury Street. * Ykrikitp;renoxating in his home on James Street, Mr. Allan Straughan unearthed a copy of The Toronto Globe for 1870 which carried a write up on the death of the author Charles Dickens. * * * Fastened to your writer's desk blotter upon her return from holidays was a Blues Chaser from the London Free Press which read "Two weeks off during • the summer are usually followed by two off- weeks" - so now you all know where to attribute the mistakes in the paper for the next while. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Storey at- tended a birthday celebration on Wednesday for his mother Mrs. Elizabeth Storey held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. George Wasson and family of Walton. We would like to welcome to the community new residents who have moved in during summer holidays: Mr. and Mrs. Paul Stevenson David and Darrin from Hillsburi to the former Irene Grimoldby house in the village; Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Dimeline and family from the Walton area to the former Bill Dale farm 'house. Mr. and Mrs. Doug Whyte of Glen Orchard spent the weekend with his father, Mr. Harold Whyte, also Mrs. W.L, Whyte, Tom and Bill. Barry Turner of Ttickersmith spent a few days holidays with his aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. Reg Lawson John and Elizabeth. Mr. and Mrs. Peter Harrison of Goderich Township and Mr. and Mrs. Jack Crozier of Huron Ridge, Kincardine were Sunday visitors with Mr. and Mrs.. George Mclwain Mr. Jack Whyte of Stratford and Mr. and Mrs. Gouinlock of Toronto were Saturday visitors with the Whyte family. We are pleased to report that Mrs. Annie Leitch of Clinton a former resident, returned home on Sunday from Stratford General Hospital where she has spent the last few weeks. We hope she is feeling much better. Miss Margie Whyte has Birth, control 1 cl clinic gets more interest Increasing interest is being shown in the 'Birth Control Clinic of the Huron County Family Planning Project. The Huron County Family Planning Project is operated by a professional staff under a grant from the Federal Government. The Birth Control Clinic is in operation every Tuesday and Thursday evening from 6:30 - 9 p.m. at the AgriCultural College, Huron Park. A full range of birth control services are, offered, all free of charge. As well as counselling,A the clinic is able to provide facilities for medical examinations, pap smears, IUD insertions and the dispensing of oral contraceptives. Illegitimate births have shown a definite increase, par- ticularly in the high school age groups. It is hoped that this clinic, through its services, will allow those people of any age group, including those in high school, to seek information and advice when they need it. In attendance each Tuesday and Thursday evening is a public health nurse. No appoin- tment is necessary, and a doc- tor is available at the clinic by appointment.
