sday -Aug, 15, at 6:30 p.m. at.
Vanastra and next Monday in
Clinton at 8:30 p.m. Let's try
and get out there and cheer
them on. With more support
from the crowd you try harder
to win. So good luck on Mon-
day. Come on you people in
Vanastra, lets get out and cheer
them on.
Well Hallelujah, the pool is
opened!
On Saturday afternoon Aug.
13 the pool was opened for free
swimming for the people in
Vanastra and whoever heard
that the pool was opened.
About 100 people came on
Saturday and the same on Sun-
day.
It sounds as if everybody is
satisfied by the look of the tur-
nout, It's wonderful to have
fun after all the hard work
trying to get everything
finished, but of course
everything isn't finished and if
it wasn't for all the volunteer
help on Saturday, the pool
wouldn't have opened.
There are still a few finishing
touches to be done and the
women are still painting and
slowly but surely, it's getting
finished and it's going to be
beautiful when it is. Thanks to
all who helped.
Registration for swimming
lessons are now being taken
any day from 2:30 to 4:30 and
6:30 to 8:36 p.m. everyday and
the lessons will start on Aug,
•17th and will go on until com-
pleted,,so if. you'n interested
hurry down and sign in to
make sure you get, in.
The executive is still working
on the details of the day-care
and nursery centre and anyone
in the surrounding areas out of
Vanastra please contact Jenny
Russo at. 482-9611 and let me
know if you are interested.
The playground is still on
and will continue until the end
of August and it is very suc-
cessful. It's amazing to see
what the children can make out
of practically nothing and how
thrilled they are to put things
together and take them home
to show mommy.
Keep up the good work girls,
it's nice to see all the children
occupied and well taken care
of.
I think that's all the news for
this week but if I forgot
something phone and let me
know 482-9611.
