She was dressed its a floor-length gown of pink Swiss dot and had small, pink bows in her hair, She carried a small bouquet of the same flowers as the bridemaids, The groomsman was Bill Bur\kholder of Blyth, a friend of the bride and groom, and the ushers were Larry Walsh of Blyth and Ronnie Walsh of North Bay, both brothers of the groom. Following the wedding, a reception was held at the Clin- ton Legion Hall, which was decorated with candelabra. After a wedding trip to Dear- borne, Michigan, the couple have taken up residence in Blyth. Horse show success for Trail Riders A very successful Junior Horse Show was held at the Dungannon Fair Grounds recently sponsored by the Huron Trail Riders Saddle „dub; The'ludge for the day was Gar* Stoditad, of Waterloo. The marriage of Karin, Ur- sula Iden and Jeffrey Walkom Shaddick took place on July 6, at Martin Luther Church in Kitchener, The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs, Erich Iden of Bridgeport and the groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Allen Shaddick of Lon- desboro. The choir of Martin Luther Church sang two selec- tions unaccompanied and Mr. Helmut Koslowski played a flute solo. Given in marriage by her parents, the bride's gown featured long, full lacy sleeves, cuffed at the wrist and a stand- up-collar. The bodice, also of lace, was enhanced by pear but- tons. The full-length polyester- crepe skirt was gathered at the waist and met the bodice in a peak at the front. The bride's The Taylor's Corner Com- munity Club held its annual picnic at the Holmesville School on Wednesday, July 31. Martha DeBoer, president, welcomed members and guests, with a special welcome to new residents in the community. A short meeting was held before activities began, A letter was read from the group's foster child in South America and $64 was voted totard drilling a well in Ethiopia through U.N.I.C.E.F. Della Rodges and Ila Oke were in charge of the women's program in the afternoon. The results were: Most buttons, Ida Snyder, smallest waist, Marlene Bush; most grandthildren, Ila Oke; biggest shoe, Grace Bakker; card game, Eileen Wieringa; guess toothpicks in a jar, Mar- tha DeBoer; drop clothes pins in a jar, Martha DeBoer; full-length veil was held in place by a Juliette cap. She carried a cascade bouquet of red roses, white carnations and stephanotis. The maid of honour was Krista Iden, sister of the bride. The bridesmaids were Lloy Shaddick and Traudie Kauntz, They were gowned in pink organza embossed with tiny white daisies. They carried floral baskets. The flower girl was Erika Gierscher, a cousin of the bride. Richard Shaddick of Edmon- ton was his brothetbs best man. Ushers were Robert Shaddick and Dieter Iden. A reception followed at the Bridgeport Community Centre. Following a trip to Muskoka and Ottawa, the couple will reside near Moorefield. Friends and relatives attended from Pittsburgh, Florida, Edmonton Toronto, Rodney, Essex, Lon- don, Chatham, Mitchell, and Blyth. elimination contest, Helen Westbrook. At 5 p.m. the men and other members of the families arrived and approximately 80 sat down to an enjoyable supper and a friendly chat with neighbours in the community. Goshen United Church in Varna was tastefully decorated with baskets of yellow and white daisies; blue carnations, pink gladiolas accented with baby's breath and ferns, and a display of candelabra for evening wedding op July 19 when Helen Louise Colclough of Clinton became the bride of Ervin Robert Keys of Varna. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David Colclough of Clinton and the groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Keys of Varna. Rev. Alex Taylor officiated at the ceremony and Mrs. Doug MoAsh was the organist who sang "Praise my soul the King of. Heaven" for the procession down the isle, and "We've only just begun" during the signing of the register. The maid of honor was Esther Merrill of Bayfield and the bridesmaids were Ruth Anne Colclough of Clinton, sister of- the bride and Debbie Lockie of Huron Park. They were dressed in gowns of sheer floral Swiss dot with different color underlay (Esther in Photo by Frank Phillips yellow, Debbie in blue, and Ruth Anne in pink) with scoop necklines, empire waists, bell sleeves, ruffles on the bottom of the skirts and ribbohs matching the dress colors on wide brim- med hats, They carried pink, yellow, and blue daisies with baby's breath with streamers of ribbon matching the individual dress colors, Steven Keys of Varna was the groomsman, and the ushers were Wayne Cantelon of RR 4, Seaforth, cousin of the groom, and Danny Johnston of Bayfield. Following the wedding, a reception was held at the Clin- ton Legion Hall, and for a wed- ding trip to Northern Ontario, the bride changed into a beige skirt suit trimmed with brown collar and short sleeved cuffs and she wore a multi-coloredai corsage. The couple are residing at. RR 1, Varna.
