We're back from a peaceful
vacation and had a very restful
stay, and I am ready now for
the last part of the summer.
Time does not wait for anybody
so things have been progressing
.at a slow pace as usual.
I was hoping for a few phone
calls when I got home for
someone to tell me what was
happening, but as per usual
everybody is busy with their
own things and haven't had
time for anybody else. So here
goes to the best of my running
around for a day to keep you
caught up to what was hap-
pening,
On Tuesday Aug. 6th, the
ladies got together to pick out
the colours for the new ad-
dition to the pool and when it's
finished, it is really going to be
very cheerful and pleasant to
go for a swim in the new pool.
It should not be long for the.
pool to be ready because on,
Tuesday they poured the last
layer of whatever it is and now,
they're cleaning up around the
pool so maybe by chance,
everything might be finished at
the same time. *
The ladies were painting on
Wednesday and Thursday and
by the weekend, all the pain-
ting should be finished, "we
hope".
On Tuesday morning, The
Recreation and Parks Commit-
tee had an interview with Mr.
J. Deveau from London about
the progress of the day centre
and nursery and now it goes to
the township to see if it will be
approved, More about that
next week.
I hear the baseball team is
doing quite well, but I wish
someone would let me know so
I could let others know.
I want to thank all the ladies
for helping to paint the new ad-
dition. Many turned out so it
Shows if want things done,
ask the ladies. Thanks again.
On July 28, 1974, Mr. and
Mrs. F. Fulcher celebrated
their 28th wedding anniversary
and the immediate family and
friends and neighbors helped
celebrate. Now they are
vacationing and I . hope they
haVe a nice holiday.
