' St. Joseph's Roman Catholic
Church in Clinton was the set-
ting of a lovely evening wed-
ding June 14, 1974. Blue and
• white satin bows marked the
pews on the aisle, down which
Linda Anne Flynn walked with
her father to become the bride
of Richard Charles Hesch.
White daisies tinted pink and
blue and white gladiolus and
lighted tapers in gold can-
delabra made a beautiful
background for the double ring
ceremony performed by Rev.
D.J. McMaster. Mr. Bradley
played traditional wedding
music and Mr. Clarence
Denomme sang "Hymn of Joy",
"Ave Maria", "Panis
Angelicus'' and "0 Perfect
Love". Altar .servers were
David Van Beers, and Randy
Middleton, both of Clinton.
The bride is the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Theo Flynn of
Clinton. Mr. and Mrs. Ray
Hesch of Walkerton are the
parents of the groom.'
The bride looked lovely in a
gown of white cotton eyelet
from Sicily. Features of the
dress were a scooped neckline
with a frill, puff sleeves and a
elasticized bodice. The skirt
was plain with three frily_at
the bottom.. A Venise lace
Juliett cap a circular
elbow-length illusion veil.
Linda" carried a nosegay
bouquet of pink sweetheart
roses and daisies and
stephanotis tinted • pink and
blue.
Miss Monica Flynn of Lon-
don, sister of the bride, was
maid of honor. The

Flynn, Clinton, sister of the
bride, and, Mrs. Sandra McIn-
tosh, Owen Sound. The flower
girl was Miss Annette Poech-
man, Orillia; niece of the
groom. They wore blue and
pink gingham gowns styled
similar to the brides and they
wore white picture hats. They
carried baskets of daisies and
baby's breath, tinted pink and
blue.
Merven Hesch, Waterloo,
brother of the groom was'
grootnsman. Stephen Flynn,
Clinton, brother of the bride
and Dave Hesch, West Mon-
trose ushered guests. Michael
Spitzig, Walkerton, nephew of
the groom was ring bearer.
A wedding reception was
held at the Legion Hall where
the parents of the bride and
groom received guests, The
bride's mother chose a lovely
pink and blue flowered white
background polyester gown
with matching white ac-
cessories and a corsage of
varigated pinkish-mauve
miniature carnations. The
mother of the groom looked
lovely in a soft pink gown with
white accessories and a corsage
of pink miniature carnations.r
FollOwing the reception,, the:
cha.nged into an orange,
green andWhite checked pant
suit with a corsage of daisies
for a wedding trip to Northern
Ontario. The young couple will
reside at R.R. 4, Listowel,
Guests were present from Ed-
monton, Orillia, Owen Sound,
Kitchener, Stratford, Clinton,
Walkerton and surrounding
areas.
Prior to her marriage, the
bride was honoured at several
showers. Hostesses were, Mrs.
Clem Reynolds, Clinton, Mrs.
Andrew Spitzig, Walkerton,
and Mrs. Dan McIntosh, Owen

Varna United Church was
decorated with candelabra of
white daisies, pink baby mums
and blue babys breath for the
-July 20th wedding of Joyce
Marie Taylor, daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Wm. Taylor of Varna
and William Arthur Boussey
son of Mr. and Mrs. RaYmond
Boussey of Clinton.
Rev. A. Taylor of Varna of-
ficiated at the double ring
ceremony. Mr. and Mrs. Grant
Bennington of Owen Sound,
friends of the bridal couple
sang "Today" and "My Cup
Runneth Over" accompanied
by Mr, Bennington on the
guitar.
Given in marriage by her
father parents, the bride wore
her mother's wedding gown.
The gown was white , satin,
styled with a sweetheart
neckline and long pointed
sleeves. A panel of French lace
overlaid the bodice in front, ex-
tended to the hemline and a
satin applique reached from the
neckline to the hem and offset
the gathered skirt which fell
into a gentle sweep. She wore a
waistlength double layered veil
trimmed with wide French lace,

The maid of honour was
Miss Donna Taylor, sister of
,the bride. She wore a full-

in pink.
The groomsman was
Leonard Lobb of Clinton,
friend of the groom. The ushers
were Ronald Mickie of London
friend of the groom, Mark
Taylor, only brother of the
bride, and Stephen Boussey,
only brother of the groom.
Following the wedding, a
reception was held at Hully-
Gully, Chalet, Varna, where the
brides mother received guests
wearing a pink full-length dress
of polyester silk knit with a
flowing skirt and a matching
long-sleeved jacket. She wore a
corsage of deep rose carnations.
The groom's mother received
guests in a mint green full-
length polyester silk knit dress
with a matching long sleeved
jacket. She wore a yellow car-
nation corsage.
For a wedding trip to
Niagara Falls, the bride wore a
red, white and black checked
knee-length dress with mat-
ching short-sleeved jacket. She
wore a large white hat *with a
large red poppy centered at the
back and white accessories. She
wore a corsage .of red car-
nations. ,

The couple are residing in
London. The bride is presently
on the staff at St. Joseph's Ho
pital and the groom is entering
his final year at Fanshate
College.

Church in Clinton was
decorated with wicker baskets
of blue and white mixed
flowers for the July 13 evening
wedding of Katherine Grace
Forbes, eldest daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Murray Forbes of
Goderich Township, and
Thomas Cameron Archibald,
son of Mr. and Mrs. Chester
Archibald of Rattenbury Street
in Clinton.
Rev. John Oestreicher of-
ficiated at the double ring
ceremony, while Miss Cathy
Potter played the organ. ,
Given in marriage by her
parents, the bride was dressed
in a gown of white polyester
satin with a lacy nylon voile
overlay on the bodice and
sleeves. It features an empire
waistline and a scoop neck, and
a .pointed collar. Her waist-
length veil was attached to her
headdress, which was covered
--in a similar fabric. A single red
rose was her choice of flowers,
The maid of honor was
Cathy Aiken of Clinton. She
was dressed in a gown of baby
blue polyester satin in a
pinafore style with a halter
e back."She wore a crocheted

ribbon—trim arid' She carried a
single pink rose.
The bridesmaids were Con-
nie Forbes and Brenda Forbes,
sisters of the bride. They were
dressed identically to the maid
of honor.
The groomsman was Brad
Hargreaves of Brucefield and
the ushers were Kevin Swan of
Brucefield and David Ar-
chibald of Clinton, brother of
the groom..
Following the wedding, a
reception was held at the White
Carnation at Holmesville,
where the mother of the bride
received guests dressed in ,a
white arnel triacetate gown
with red trim on the waist and
cuffs and it featured a pleated
skirt and long sleeves. She wore
a red carnation corsage. The
groom's' mother assisted
wearing a flowered sheer over
crepe gown in shades of blue
with long sleeves in the sheer
material. Her corsage was
made up of yellow carnations.
For a wedding trip to Nor-
thern Ontario, the bride
changed into a beige crim-
pelene dress with orange and
dark green trim and she had
green accessories.
Prior to her wedding, the
bride was honored at showers
held at Graham's cottage for
her grade 13 classmates, and at
the homes -Of Mrs. Walter' For-"w
bes, Mrs. Alvin Jones and Mrs.
Robert Taylor.
The couple are residing in
K itchener.
