Church in Clinton was
decorated with candelabra of
yellow and white daisies, pink
minature carnations and pink
baby's, breath for the June 29
wedding of Dianne Marie Jane
Tyndall, daughter. of Mr. and
Mrs. Lorne Tyndall of Clinton
and Douglas Clarence Bylsn-ia,
son of Mr. and Mrs. Brant
ByIsma of Clinton.
Rev. L.S. Lewis officiated at
the double ring ceremony,
while Jake Roorda played the
organ, accompanying the
soloist, James Doherty.
Given in marriage by her
parents, the bride wore a full-
length gown and train of nylon
sheer over deluster satin with a
ruffled apron effect. There were
also ruffles around the neck
and the end of the sleeves. She
wore a waist-length double
layered veil trimmed with daisy
lace, and she carried a bouquet
of yellow sweetheart roses,
minature white carnations,
white and yellow stephanotis
and white baby's breath. ,
The maid of honor was Miss
Laurie Potter of RR 3, Clinton,
a friend of the bride. She was
dressed in a full-length A-line
dress of yellow printed sheer
over yellow satin lining, with
04 trimmed with lace

She wore a yellow, wide- '
brimmed hat trimmed with a
band of dress material and
carried a bouquet of white and
yellow daisies, pink minature
carnations and pink baby's
breath.
The attendants were Miss
Laurie Tyndall of Clinton,
cousin of the bride, and Mrs.
Karen Tyndall of Goderich,
sister-in-law of the bride. They
were dressed similarly to the
maid of honor.
The groomsman was Tim
Bylsma of Clinton, brother of
the groom, and the ushers were
Brian Miller of Clinton, friend
of the groom, and Ron Tyndall
of Goderich, brother of the
bride.
' Following the wedding, a
reception was held at the White
Carnation at Holmesville
where the bride's mother
received guests wearing a
green, full-length dress of
polyester silk knit with a
flowing back trimmed with a
beaded belt.
She wore a yellow rose corsage.
For a wedding trip to Nor-
thern Ontario, the bride
changed into turquoise blue
and white dress with matching
blue and white shoes and a
white purse. She wore a corsage
of pink carnations.
Previous to her marriage, the
bride was honored at showers
at the home of Phyllis O'Neil of
Wingham; Marlene Forbes of
Clinton; Robena McConnell of
Clinton and Mary Gibbings of
Clinton.
The couple are residing in
Clinton.

Janet Irene Blake of RR 7,
Lucknow, became the bride of
Frederick Ross Trewartha of
RR 4, Clinton in a wedding
ceremony solemnized at Trinity
United Church in Ashfield on
June 29. The bride is the
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Keith
Blake of RR 7, Lucknow, and
the groom is the son of Mr. and
Mrs. Ross Trewartha of RR 4,
Clinton.
The church was decorated in
candelabra, ferns, and wild or-
chids when Rev. James E.
Hummel united the couple in a
double ring ceremony. Mrs.
Ken Alton was the organist
and accompanied Miss Mary
Anne Alton the soloist, who
sang "0 day of gladness",
"Wedding Hymn", and "We've
only just begun."
Given in marriage by her
parents, the bride was dressed
in a floor-length white
polyester satin emperor dress
with bodice and sleeves of em-
broidered chantilly lace, ap-
.pliqued with flowers. Her floor-
length veil was appliqued with
the same lace as thedress,#Aq
she wore a .headpiece

The matron of honor was
Mrs. Marie Webster of RR 1,
Londesboro, sister of the
groom, and she wore a floor-
length gown of blue nylon
crystalette, an empire waist
and sleeves which were trim-
med with dainty blue and white
daisies. She carried a bouquet
of pink and white carnations
and there were three little blue
roses entwined in her hair.
The attendants were Miss
Shiro'n Blake and Miss
Heather Blake, both sisters of
the bride. They were dressed
identically to the matron of
honor.
Douglas Trewartha of RR 4,
Clinton, brother of the groom
was the groomsman and the
ushers were Ron Menary of RR
7. Lucknow, uncle of the bride,
and Brian Trewartha, brother
of the groom.
Following the wedding, a
meal was enjoyed at Brookside
Public School and a reception
followed at the Dungannon
Hall, where the mother of the
bride received guests wearing a
floor-length dress of green
sheer floral design with a cor-
sage of yellow carnations. The
groom's water was dressed in

sage of green tinted carnations.
For a trip to the West Coast,
the bride changed into a multi-
colored floral green dress.
The couple are residing in
London.

Couple honoured on
thirtieth anniversary
Mr. and Mrs. Norman
McDougall of RR 1, Auburn
were recently honoured at a
surprise 30th wedding anniver-
sary dinner party held at the
home of their daughter Mr. and
Mrs. Alan Caldwell in Auburn.
The bride's attendant, Mrs.
Evelyn McLean and her
husband • of Hanover were
present.
The groom's attendant, Mr.
Don Gillies of Conn. was
unable to attend as they were
vacationing in Calgary.
The table was adorned with
a lovely decorated anniversary
cake made by Mrs. Marg An-
derson of Londesboro, and one
turquoise candle sat on each
side.
The couple were presented
with useful gifts.
Guests were present from
Hanover, Mount Forest, and
surrounding areas.

Centennial United church,
London, decorated with orange
blossoms, white mums and
gladioli, was the setting on
June 22, 1974 when Joan
Eileen Tufts became the bride
of David Richard Carrothers.
The bride, daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. N. Edwin Tufts was
given in marriage by her
fattier. She wore a full length
empire line gown of white
french crepe appliqued with
swiss guipure lace. The groom
is the son of Mr, and Mrs.
James E. Carrothers, all of
London.
Reverend Fred MacKinnon
officiated at the double ring
ceremony. Soloist Mr. Gil
McIntyre and organist Mrs.
Doug Getty provided the wed-
ding music,
Mrs. David Rawson was her
sisters matron of honour.
Bridesmaids were Beth Ennis,
Karen Tyndall and Cathy Fun-
nel', dressed in identical soft
blue flock gowns, Laura Horton
was the dainty flower girl ac-
companied by Scott Williams
ring bearer. They are both
cousins of the groom.
Groomsman was Paul
Carrothers, brother of the
groom. Guest's were ushered by
Victor Brown, David Rawson
and Paul Tufts.
Following the wedding, a
reception was held at the
Ivanhoe Motel, where the
bride's mother received the
guests in an empire line,
apricot french crepe gown and
the groom's mother was
dressed in an. American beauty
sheer gown with white, collar
and cuffs, the couple left for a
honeymoon in northern On-
tario.
The bride and groom were
honoured at several pre-
nuptual parties. Shower
hostesses were Mrs. Melville
Dundass, Mrs. Charles
Buskard, Mrs. George John-
ston, Mrs. William Manning
and Mrs. Milton Walsh.
An open house was held by
the bride's parents and the
groom's parents hosted the
rehearsal party.
Mr. and Mrs. Carrothers will
reside in Toronto where Joan is
employed as a Dental Hygienist
by the Etobicoke Board of
Health and David, a graduate
of U.W.O., will continue his
studies in Theology at Em-
manuel College.

Andrews United Church,
Bayfield on Saturday Jun 22,
1974 at 3 when Rev. Reddoch
performed the double ring
ceremony that united in
marriage Debra Diane Turner
and David George Fawcett.
The bride is the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Walter Turner,
Bayfield and the groom is the
son of Mr. and Mrs. -Lennard
Fawcett, Clinton. The organist
was Mr. Ronnie Thomas, great-
uncle of the groom.
Given in marriage by her
parents, the bride chose a gown
of white lagoda crepe, featuring
an empire waist and 'Mired
skirt. The bodice and stand-up
collar were overlaid in French
re-embroidered lace. Deep bell
cuffs were gathered- onto the
long sleeves which had ap-
pliques of matching lace at the
wrists. Flowers of the same lace
were spaced around the bottom
of the skirt and bottom of the
cathedral train, which was at-
tached at the waist. Her four-
tiered elbow-length veil of
nylon tulle with silk em-
broidered scalloped edging was
held in place by a lace head
band, embroidered in sequins
and pearls.
She carried a bouquet of
daisies, stephanotis, variegated
;slink and mauve ,mnil,ature car-
nations, yellow, sweetheart
roses and baby's breath tinted
aqua.
The attendants wore
floorlength gowns in princess
style with a scoop neckline and
short puffed sleeves. They were
fashioned of sheer, white,
polyester, floral swiss dot, each
with a different colour un-
derlay.
Miss Brenda Makins,
Goderich, friend of the bride,
was maid of honour with pink
underlay.
The bridesmaids were Miss
Barbara Graham, Bayfield
friend of the bride, with yellow,
Nancy Fawcett, sister of the
groom with aqua; and Wendy
Turner, sister of the bride with
mauve underlay. They carried
baskets of white daisies with
baby's breath tinted to match
their dress and a band of
daisies in their hair.
Groomsman was Neil
Mustard, Brucefield, friend of
the groom. Guests were ushered
by Stewart Turner brother of
the bride, Doug. Fawcett,
brother of the groom and Rick
Schilbe, RR 1, Bayfield, friend
of the groom.
The reception was held in the
Bayfield Community Centre
where the bride's table was
centred with a four-tiered wed-
ding cake flanked by stirling
silver candelabra. Assisting the
wedding party ( receiving the
guests was the bride's mother,
wearing a floor-length gown of
pink polyester crepe, featuring
short sleeves, with the bodice
front and stand-up collar of
ribbon lace. She wore white ac-
cessories and a white orchid
corsage.
She was assisted by the
groom's mother, who wore a
floor-length gown of green
polyester crepe with matching
beading on the V-neckline and
elbow-length sleeves, white ac-
cessories and a white orchid
corsage.
For travelling to Niagara
Falls, the bride chose a navy
and white check pant suit,
white accessories arid corsage
of pink sweetheart roses. They
have taken up residence in
Clinton where the groom is em-
ployed by the P.U.C.
Prior to her marriage, the
bride was honoured with bridal
showers given by relatives,
friends and neighbours at
Bayfield United Church, the
girls at Wil-Dex and the
Recreation Club of Wil-Dex
where the bride is .,employed,
and a surprise party for them
both by the neighbours on the
groom's' street in Clinton.
