At- tending from Londesboro were Mr. and Mrs. Tom Allen, Mrs. Wayne Jackson and family; and Mr. and Mrs. Keith Allen and family. Mrs. Al Volk is a patient in Clinton Hospital, having had surgery. Mr. and Mrs. Don Harris of Kamloops B.C, spent Thursday night with his cousins, Mr, and Mrs. Bert Shobbrook, and also called on other relations. Mr. and Mrs. W. D. Gillies, St. Thomas, visited on Sunday with her cousins, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Durnin. Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Shob- brook, Darrell and Diana spent 'Tuesday and Wednesday at Niagara. The Berian unit of UCW meeting will be held on Tuesday July 16. They are to meet at the manse at 1:15 p.m. to attend a tour and study at Goderich Psychiatric Hospital, returning to the manse for lunch. Lodge Donates Barry Baker, treasurer of-the Bayfield Lions Club, wa s pleased to report that L.O.L. 1035, Varna, have made a donation of $25 to the Bayfield Lions Club out- of appreciation for the Clubs help to the swim- mers and hockey players in their locality, Librarian Honored Miss Ethel Dewar, Huron County Librarian, was enter- tained at a luncheon in Ben- miller last week by the County Library Board. Westlake and daughters Barbara and Shelley of Delta, British Columbia visited overnight with his relatives last week. McLeod and Dorothy. Mr. and Mrs. Donald Longfield and family visited Mrs. Margaret Garrett and family for the weekend, Mr. and Mrs. Art Latimer, Toronto, who have been with her mother, Mrs. G. L. Knight for the past week, returned to their home on Saturday. With Mrs. Knight for the weekend were her son and family, Mr. and Mrs, Rom Knight, Jackie and Kathryn of Toronto and Mrs. Stan Gordon and Skye of Manitoulin Island. Brian Merrill is presently at Red Lake in Northern Ontario helping fight the forest fires by dumping water from a 204 helicopter. Mr. Bernard F. Sturgeon, Jeff and Rollie and Cory Miller, Orangeville were with the formers parents, Mr. and Mrs. J.B. Sturgeon, Bud and Andrew during the weekend. Mrs. Violet Sturgeon and Mrs. Fred Mote attended Foun- ders Day on Saturday at the Ontario Agricultural College Centennial Festival in Guelph. They also attended the tun, cheon in the Faculty Club, Johnston Hall and dinner at Amber Cupola Restaurant-Red Room. Best wishes to Mrs. L. PERSONALS Congratulations to Mr. 'and Mrs. Dick Westerhout on the birth of a daughter on July 5 in Clinton Hospital. She was later admitted to Sick Children's Hospital, London. Congratulations to Jeff Shad- dick and Karen Iden who were married on Saturday July 6 at St. Martins Evangelical Lutheran Church, Kitchener. The reception was held at com- munity centre Bridgeport.
