A lovely April wedding was
solemnized on Saturday, April
27 in Benmiller United Church
when Rev. Leonard Warr of-
ficiated at a double-ring
ceremony uniting Grace Van-
stone and Charles Cecil
Culbert.
'The bride is the only
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ver-
dun Vanstone, Benmiller and
the groom is the son of Mr. and
Mrs. Cecil Culbert,Dungannon.
Gold candelabra centered'
with large pink snapdragons,
white daisies and white
streamers decorated the
church.
Given in marriage by her
father, the bride wore a gown of
Trevera crystalette, full long
bishop sleeves and a high Vic-
torian neckline. The dress was
accented with rows of Italian
lace touched off with beaded
crystals. The sleeves were trim-
med with matching lace wrist-
bands. A long cathedral veil
with matching lace encircling
the veil was held in place by a
Juliet cap. She carried a
trailing bouquet of pink roses
with white stephanotis and ivy.
The matron of honour was
Mrs. Judy Vanstone, sister-in-
law of the bride. Bridesmaids
were Miss Gail Wraith, Miss
Judy Beattie, Miss Martha
Eedy and Miss Cathy Culbert,
friends of the bride.
All the bride's attendants
wore identical gowns of powder
blue crystalette with Mandarin
neckline, long bishop sleeves,
empire waistline and imported
Italian lace trim. Each carried
a basket of baby pink car-
nations, white daisies and
baby's breath.
Groomsman was Jack
Culbert, cousin of the groom.
Ushers were . Bill Vanstone,
Bob Vanstone and Brad Van-
stone, brothers of the bride,
and John Stanbury, friend of
the groom.
The groom and his atten-
dants wore white tuxedos with
black bow ties and white ruf-
fled shirts trimmed with black.
They wore white boutonnieres.
Organist and soloist was
Mrs. Leonard Warr, who sang
The Wedding Prayer and The
Wedding Hymn. During the
signing of the register Mrs.
Warr sang, The Wedding
Hymn.
The dinner and reception
was held at Saltford Valley
Hall. The Hall was decorated
with yellow daffodils. The
couple's parents received the
guests. The bride's 'mother
wore a floor-length blue gown
-with pink corsage and the
groom's mother -wore a floor-
length yellow flowered gown
with yellow corsage.
The bride's travelling
costume was a deep pink jum-
per dress with a tinted blue cor-
sage and white accessories.
After a wedding trip to
Niagara Falls and points east,
the bride and groom will reside
at Nile.
Guests were present from
London, Toronto, Waterford,
Ajax, Dungannon and Goderich
area. Among the guests were
the bride'S' grandparents.
The bride was feted with
several showers in Benmiller
Community, Goderich and
Dungannon prior to her
marriage.
