The regular Bayfield Village council meeting, which was to have been on Monday evening May 6, has been changed to Wednesday evening May 8 at 7:30 p.m. in the Municipal Building. Residents are also asked to take note that the gar- bage collection will change from Saturday afternoon to Monday morning starting at 9 a.m, beginning Monday May 6. Euchre Party The euchre and bridge party, under the auspices of Trinity Church Ladies Guild last Friday evening 'in the Parish Hall was very successful. Euchre prize winner were: ladies" high, Edna Mote; ladies' low, Jeanette Huffman; men's high, Ken Lynn; men's low, Fred Mote and lone hands George Youmatoff. Ladies Guild following::tbe„carci sews Senior Citizens The April meeting of the Senior Citizens was held Thur- sday evening April 25 in the Municipal Building with 33 members present. The club welcomed Mrs. Bertha Turner as a new member. The meeting was presided over and opened by the president George Brown. The National Anthem was sung and the Lords Prayer repeated ,in unison, They welcomed 12 members of the Goderich Senior Citizens Club as guests for the evening. Secretary Mrs. Jean Bell read her report of the last meeting which was adopted. There was no correspondence. The treasurer, Mrs. Vine Parker, gave her report which was also adopted, All outstanding bills be paid. Mr. Snider of the Goderich Club was introduced by the president and he outlined a program of joining the Senior Citizens Unit II 1, which is a way of meeting other clubs. The Bayfielcl group was invited to Goderich to a meeting on May 15 to hear a representative from Stratford talk on the' organization of senior citizens groups. Lloyd Makins reported on the planned trip to Greenfield Village on May 23. All mem- bers are to be at the United Church at 8 a.m. Happy Birthday wishes Were sung to Margaret Lynn, The meeting adjouned and euchre was played with prizes going to Mrs. Mary Weston, Mrs. Jean Bell, George Clark and Ken Lynn, Mrs, Florence Brown won the lone hand prize, The usual lovely lunch was served. John 'McLeod arrived home on Saturday evening from a three week visit in England and Scotland. Miss Norma Garrett was hostess for a pantry shower for Miss 'Cathy Bowers in Glen Allen on Saturday evening. The shower was held at the home of the bride-to-be for relatives and members of the wedding party. Miss Bowery is to be married on Saturday May 4, Mrs. Garrett accompanied her daughter to the shower and they remained for the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Ron Bowers and family. The VII meeting of the Bayfield Beauticians 4-H Club was held at the home of Mrs. L. Healy on April 23 at 7:00 p.m. There were six members present. We discussed poise and each of the girls demon- strated an exercise. We talked about what we were going to put on our exhibit for Achievement Day. Secret Pal The annual roll call contest "Fun Night" was held at the home of Mrs. Ernest Whitehouse when the losers treated the winners to a smorgasbord .lunch and the winners did the entertaining. Contests, action games and euchre were enjoyed, Mrs. H. Caldwell had the high score in euchre, Mrs. ,J. Sinclair was second and low was Mr. C. Pullman. Mrs. J. Drummond baked a pie that day. Mrs. J. Sinclair and Mrs, S. Pepper had the most buttons on their dresses, Mrs. G. Bell and Mrs, H. Caldwell didn't go to town. Mrs. M. Connolly fixed her dress before she came and Mrs. Grant McLean celebrated her birthday that day. The revelation of the secret pals brought a very enjoyable evening to a close. Personals Mrs. G.
