Everyone deserves the opportunity
to get the best possible education.
This is what Ontario is doing
to see that you get your chance.
The government here in Ontario
believes that no one should ever be
deprived of a higher education simply
for lack of money. And, we're doing
something about it , .. through the
Ontario Student Assistance Program
(OSAP), '
OSAP'consists of goveMment-
financed loans and grants designed to
help qualified Canadian citizens and
landed immigrants pay for their higher
education. And they are based on
need, not on academic achievement,
The loans are interest-free until 6
months after graduation, and repay-
ments don't begin until then. The
grants don't normally have to be
repaid at all.
Already, 2 out of 5 students at
Ontario universities and community
colleges receive some form of
financial assistance from OSAP.
If you would like to know what
assistance is available, how to apply
for it, and how much you may be
qualified to receive, contact the
Student Awards Officer at the
institution of your choice.

The 1973-1974 annual
meeting of the Clinton Figure
Skating Club was held on
Thursday April 11. Of 85
families who have membership
in the Club, only 12 were
represented.. Although the club
has a full slate of officers for
the 1974-1975 season, was felt
that it is essential for more of
the parents to take an interest
and share in the workload.
The skaters are enthusiastic
and the improvement over the
past two years is tremendous so
"come on parents, let's keep
this club active".

Field Trips
On April 24 and 25, the two
kindergarten classes went to
McKinley's chick hatchery near
Zurick to view the eggs in the
incubators and the chicks hat-
ching. On this excursion, they
also visited the egg grading
station and saw the hei.s in the
laying barn. However, the
classes were most interested in
the baby chicks.
Since Mr. Riley's grade seven
class has been studying
banking in mathematics, they
went to the Canadian Imperial
Bank of Commerce in Seaforth

the bank, learned how to fill
out different bank forms and
