of their assistant leader, Mrs.
Allan Craig. The meeting. was
opened with the pledge
followed by the reading of the
minutes,
The, members decided to call
their club The Powder Puffs.
Mrs. Craig did a complete
manicure on Linda Van
Dongen.
Mrs. Donald Cartwright led
in the discussion on clothing,
grooming and cleanliness. The
hand-out sheets were filled out.
The third meeting of Auburn
14-H -club was held at the
home of the leader Mrs.
Donald Cartwright. .
A discussion on Achievement
day which will be held on May
18 at Blyth Public School was
heard.

Three area persons escaped
serious injury last Wednesday
morning (March 27) when a
collision on Ontario Street at
East Street detnolished two
vehicles.
A car driven by William Gib-
bings of RR 1, Clinton was
struck by a 112 ton truck owned
by William Fraiser of Seaforth.
Both vehicles were wrecked.
Both Mr. Gibbings and his
passenger, Casey VeeWey,-
received slight cuts and bruises.

Blyth Bantams are now in
the finals for all Ontario Ban-
tam E Hockey Championship
having eliminated Hillsburg,
Langton, and Huron Park in
0.M.H.A. playoffs. They now
meet Oakwood (near Lindsay)
in a five game series. The Oak-
wood• team is the same team
they eliminated in the finals
two years ago. Several Auburn
boys play with the Myth boys
on this team,

Society held its executive
meeting in the Town Hall with
the president, Mrs. Kenneth
Scott presiding. She welcomed

Plans were made for April
18when Mrs. Lila Youngblut
