the first place in the Crown
Teen League in bowling action
this week. The Blue Moons
currently are the leaders, but
are followed closely by the
Corixas with 118 and the
Starlost with 117. Next come
the Torques with 109, the
Whipper Snappers with 99, and
a three way tie for sixth spot
with Deb's Drunks, the Smiles
and Chuckles and the Pinfall
Killers with 98 each. Deb
Johnston had both the ladies'
high single of 255 and the high
triple of 664, Rob MacAuley
had both the men's high single
of 287 and the high triple of
718.
It's all over in the Tucker-
smith Mixed League with
Angus'. Anglers taking home
the honors with 99 points, one
point ahead of Tony's Sharks
with 98. Next come Bob's
Barracudas with 91, John's
Joyfish with 73, Mel's Minnows
with 62 and Dave's Darters
with 60. Winnie Van DenDool
and Robert Heard, with assist
going to Jones, Heard, Paul
Wise and Steve Campbell.
Clinton beat St. Marys 3-1
in the second game with
Wheeler, Jones and Heard
scoring for Clinton, while Peter
Thompson and Heard each
picked up assists.
In the third game for the "B"
consolation title, Clinton shut-
out Seaforth 4-0 on goals from
Wise and Heard with two
apiece and assists going to Dan
Proctor with two and singles
going to Heard and McMahon.
Derik Devok and Dave Bird
had the ladies' high single of
285 and Judy Layton had the
high triple of 651. Angus Hum-
mel had both the men's high
single of 260. and the high triple
Of 694.
In the Bayfield Bowling
League, the Dillies are in front
of the pack with 119 points,
followed by the All Stars with
115, the Bombers with 101 and
the Miracles with 85. Corrie
Koene had both the ladies'
high single of 266 and the high
triple of 632, while Madelon
Mcllwain had the high average
of 199, Bill Talbot had both
the men's high single of 275
and the high triple of 666,
while Joe Koene had the high
average of 203.
The Ferratics show no signs
of giving up their lead in the
Wil-Dex League as they lead
the way with 115 points,
followed by the Chipbreakers

of the upcoming season,
To start the season on the
right foot, there will be a
meeting of the Clinton Minor
Soccer Association this coming
Thursday April 4th at • the.

pic sized.
In the Commons, he' pointed
out that when the decision to
close Clinton as a forces base
was made, the prime minister
suggested federal assistance
would be considered to help,
phase out any base but up to
now, none has been forth-
coming,

Kincardine bested Clinton
5-1 in the fourth game with
Wise scoring unassisted ,
Clinton downed Dresden
3-1 in the fifth game, a "C"
championship game. Goal
scorers were Jones, Allan
Taylor and Wheeler. They had
help from Heard, who picked
up two assists.
In the sixth game, a "C"
Playoff against Forest, 'Clinton
was nipped 3-2, with goals
going to Taylor, unassisted and
Heard from Brian Trewartha.
In WOAA playoffs last
The Clinton Fish and Game
Bantams came close to winning
the "C" championship at a
Bantam Tournament in
Harriston last week, but were
beaten by Forest 3-2 in the
, championship game. Clinton
! won three and lost three in the
j tournament. .
In the. first game, against
Alliston of the "B" class, Clin-
ton lost on shots on goal in
1 overtime after the score was
I tied up 4-4 after regulation
time. Netting the twine for
Clinton were Ray Wheeler,
John McMahon, Steve Jones
In the final game of the
Atom House League
Playoffs, The Blues played the,
Canadians in what turned out
,„ to be the best game of the
series.
After regulation time, the
teams were tied at one apiece,
A 15 minute overtime period
was played and the Blued
Darrell Postill scored the tie
breaker, The other Blues' goal
was by Roy Brown. The
Canadians' goal was by Jeff
Biggin. The goaltending of
