ANSWER:
The Nursing. Diploma granted upon completion of the two year program enables the

Recently the Ontario Government transferred the Nursing Diploma Programs from the
Hospital Schools of Nursing to the Community Colleges. How does this transfer af-

' D.J. McMASTER,
Do you remember?
BY JABEZ RANDS
Do you remember when the Town sidewalks were all
plowed out with wooden snow plows drawn by a single
horse?
These wooden snow plows were put into use back in the
last century and were gradually phased out of nse by the late
1940's and early 1950's.
By this time, they were plowing the roads so the cars could
get around all year and the snow cleared off the roads was
piled on the sidewalks in many places,. making it difficult to
keep them clean so the public walked on the road.

work. •
In the early days, everybody walked to work and there
were.,,no cars in use, as in the winter, all the cars were put
up on -, blocks so the tires would not be spoiled.
On some of these mornings, it was pretty stormy and the
walks would fill in as fast as the plows could clear them out.
Of course, these horse drawn plows did not move very fast.
There was 'a plow for each of the four wards at one time,
but at the last, there was only one plow operated, I believe,
by Mr. Arthur Fulford.
This was the way things were done at that time and most
people were glad of a path so they could walk to work. '
