A first for Clinton! We are to
join other fortunate

enriched by the Welcome

Wagon Hostess, AtiyOne who
has ever had the experience of
being thus welcomed elsewhere
knows the value of this service.
This is especially so if one is a
total stranger, - there are so
many where's and how's to be
answered, WS a help to know
store hours, library times,
church services and locations,
repair men, etc, As we become
accustomed to all this data we
tend to forget that some of us
were once strangers to the town
ourselves and how we ap-
preciated a helpful call,
probably from a neighbour,
YoUr writer had wonderful
ones. Now newcomers will have
a new friend and neighbour
waiting to call in the person of.°
the 'Welcome Wagon Hostess.

for one four-legged feline
from Simcoe, each of its nine
lives must have flashed and
reflashed before it in a con-
tinuous full length horror
movie as it literally "rode the
rods", but in an automobile,
not a railway flat car. This
unique happening took place
when the family of Mrs. Cy
Murrell of Princess Street west
drove up to visit her from their
home in Simcoe. When the car
drew up to a stop in Mrs.
Murrell's driveway what
should appear from beneath it
but the young family's cat
which had made the journey
neatly tucked away somewhere
behind the battery. The return
trip?? Ah! Solid 'comfort inside.
