Two of the musicians from
the recently released Noted
CD will be performing as part
of Funfest in Brussels on
Saturday, July 26. The concert
will take place on the street
outside Cinnamon Jim's Café
at 401 Turnberry St. between
2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
The Brussels concert is part
of a series of shows being put
on across Huron County to
showcase the many female
artists living in the county.
Raylene Rebryna, a
resident of Lucknow, will be
the first to take the stage on
Saturday. Rebryna is known
as both a solo artist and a
member of the 10 O’clock
Band.
Megan Finkbeiner, who
was raised in Crediton, will
also be performing.
Finkbeiner describes her style
of music as being similar to
new country. She does covers
of many best known hits with
some traditional favourites
such as Patsy Cline thrown in
as well. She has just
completed her first year of
study at the University of
Western Ontario.
The ‘Noted!’ project and
CD was a joint project
between the Huron United
Way and Heritage and
Culture Partnership with
funding assistance from the
Mildred Grimes Trust, Huron
Economic Development
Matters, Lyons and Mulhern
Insurance Brokers Ltd. and
the Maple Leaf Chapter of the
IODE. The CD features the
music and talent of seventeen
of Huron County women and
was recently featured on CBC
radio’s ‘Fresh Air’ program.

Sean Berry is an Ontario Scholar from F.E.
Madill Secondary School. The son of Stephen
and Brenda Berry of RR2, Lucknow, Sean is
attending Sheridan College’s art fundamentals
program in the fall.
CAMERON ANTHONY CHAFFE
Cameron is the son of Tony and Candace
Chaffe of Belgrave. The F.E. Madill Secondary
School Ontario Scholar is attending the HVAC
program at St. Clair College.
SEAN DOUGLAS COOK
An F.E. Madill Secondary School Ontario
Scholar, Sean is returning to secondary school
in the fall to continue his studies. He is the son
of Karen and Paul Cook of Brussels.
EVELYN ROSE HORNE
Evelyn Horne is the daughter of Rosemary
Horne of Blyth. The Ontario Scholar from F.E.
Madill Secondary School will be studying
interior decorating at Fanshawe College in the
fall.
MONTINA RECHEL HUSSEY
An Ontario Scholar from F.E. Madill
Secondary School, Montina is the daughter of
Dale and Marion Hussey of Belgrave. She will
be in the arts fundamental program at Sheridan
College this fall.
JUSTINE NICOLE VANDERLEIThe daughter of David and HenriettVanderlei, RR3, Wingham, is an F.E. MadillOntario Scholar. She will be at LakeheadUniversity this fall working on her HonoursBachelor of Science/Concurrent Bachelor of
Education.

An Ontario Scholar from F.E. Madill
Secondary School, Laura is the daughter of
Douwe and Jannie Top of Brussels. She will be
attending the University of Waterloo this
September, studying kinesiology.
JENNIFER MARIE MACDONALD
Jennifer is the daughter of Barry and Cindy
MacDonald of Blyth. An Ontario Scholar from
F.E. Madill Secondary School, Jennifer will be
studying accounting at Georgian College this
fall.
BRANDON WILLIAM KELLINGTON
The son of Brian Kellington and Donna
Kellington, Brussels is an F.E. Madill
Secondary School Ontario Scholar. Brandon
will be at Brock University this fall working
towards an Honours Bachelor of Accounting
degree.
LINDSAY MICHELLE WATSON
The daughter of Michael and Valerie Watson
of RR4, Brussels, Lindsay is an Ontario
Scholar. She is planning to return to F.E.
Madill Secondary School to continue her
studies this fall.
WILLIAM CHRISTOPHER KING
William King is the son of William and
Tammy King of Brussels. The Ontario Scholar
from F.E. Madill Secondary School plans to
work for a time before entering college.
MARYBETH KRISTEN VAN VEEN
MaryBeth is the daughter of Michael and
Marian Van Veen of RR1, Bluevale. The F.E.
Madill Ontario Scholar is continuing her
secondary education in the fall.
MARGARET ELIZABETH VINCENT
Margaret is the daughter of Joan and Neil
Vincent of RR3, Wingham. The F.E. Madill
Ontario Scholar plans to attend Ridgetown
College where she will study environmental
science in agriculture.

Adam Young is the son of Alan and Brenda of
Blyth. The F.E. Madill Secondary School
Ontario Scholar will be attending Lakehead
University this fall, enrolled in the Concurrent
Outdoor Sports and Recreation program.

An F.E. Madill Ontario Scholar, Bradley is
the son of John and Ruth Haines of the
Belgrave area. He will be attending Brock
University working towards his Honours
Bachelor of accounting degree.
