The Citizen, 2008-06-05, Page 2It was a time for celebration on

PAGE 2. THE CITIZEN, THURSDAY, JUNE 5, 2008.
Well, “June is busting out all
over…”The old song is just right for
a nice sunny June day. Good
thoughts flow and plans are easily
made for the next few hours. Oh life
is good.
Sales were going on all over the
place on Saturday. Yards and tentcovers and garages all held thearticles ready for departure. Buffedand shone, the treasures were readyto find a new home. And the peoplecame, in many forms and manners. Some came for the entertainmentvalue of sales and walked inleisurely and full of expectation.Others used great strides toapproach the items as if the stock
market was about to open. Still
others sauntered in for a nice visit
and as an after thought checked out
the merchandise.
People watching is such fun. The
world is a better place, item are in
new homes and once again
appreciated and the landfill is not
involved in the disposal of the items.Good work all. To keep us alert over the weekendwe had the pleasure of Jill Graber’scompany. She is now 18 monthsyoung and ready to take on theworld. It’s good to be in thecompany of the innocent who seethe world from a shorter perspectivethan mine and take on life either fullblast or sleeping. Oh yes it’s good to
have babies when you’re young.
Chris and Lara, Jordan and Robyn
joined Mike and Michelle Dauphin
and family in Niagara Falls for the
weekend. Water and water slides
seemed to be the highlights of the
weekend and everyone came home
happy and tired, so success was
achieved.Be sure to get your donationsready as the youth group will becanvassing on Thursday, June 5 tohelp fill the needs of our NorthHuron food bank. The Lions Club elimination drawis on Saturday. It’s a nice way tosupport the club for all the goodthings they do in the community.See one of the members if you don’t
have your ticket yet.
A drive in the country reminds us
of the bountiful and beautiful land
we call home. A stroll through the
village gives serenity as the trees
and flowers display their colours to
the world. Oh yes, we are blessed.
Bye now, Betty G.W.
