Following a short illness the
death occurred December 13 at
the Oshawa General Hospital of

A son of the late John and
Mary Shobbrook, the deceased
was born September 17, 19Q9
in Hullett Township and was
married to 'Ruth Powles June
14, 1939 in Lindsay. He had
,been a resident of Oshawa tor
35 years. A barber by trade
Mr. Shobbrook had a shop at
8 Prince S treet for many years.
He was a member of Kings-
. view United Church. A member
of thrfbshawa branch of the On
tario Barbers Association and a
life member of the Oshawa
Yacht Club.
The service was conducted by
Rev. William. Herbert from
Armstrong’s funeral home. He
is survived by his wife, a daugh
ter Mrs. James (Pamela) Von
Gunten, Pasadena, California,
and one son Kenneth ofOshawa;
also two grandchildren. One

Fqar, Mr. Fear was born Sep.
tember 4, 1886 in Morris Town-
ship, He was married' to. the
former Norma Sparling, who
predeceased him.
Mr. Fear was a farmer in
Tuckersmith Township ’ until
1947. After retiring from farm*
ing, Mr. Fear was a mainten
ance worker at Clinton Public
Hospital for 15 years, He was
a lifelong resident of the area
and a member of Qntario
street United Church.
He is survived by daughters,
Mrs, Edward (Beta) Hamather
of London, and Mrs, James
(Margaret) Landsborough of
Seaforth; brother, Leslie, of
I3jlyth; and sister, Mrs. Wai-
ter (Gertrude) Hurlock of Lou
don,
Funeral service was held

in Brussels Cemetery.

the highest aggregate standing in both butter
and cream judging at the 52nd annual con-
vention of the Ontario Creamerymen’s Associa
tion at Lucknow accept their trophy. Shown

representing Silverwood Dairies; Ian Kennedy,
Milk Commission fieldman for Huron County
who organized the team; Lawrie Cousins, of
Cousins’ Creamery, Brussels; and Clifford

Company, London. In addition the Huron County
team won the prize for cream judging alone,'
