The other accident in­ volved personal injury to one person, Two of the traffic accidents occurred Sunday, November 26. Richard John Irvine^ of R.R. 2 Wingham, was involved in a single car accident on No. 4 highway at Clinton north limits which resulted in $400 damage to the vehicle he was driving. Charles Franklin Young, of Dungannon, was involved in a single car accident on third Ashfield sideroad, south of the second concession, which re­ sulted in $200 damage to the vehicle he was driving. Gregory Maize, a passenger in the vehicle he was driving, was in­ jured. ' Two of the traffic accidents ’ occurred Saturday, December 2. Thomas Scott Rompf, of 494 Bennett Street, Goderich, was involved in a single car accitkr ent on No 8 Highway, east of No.. 27 County road. The accident resulted in $200 damage to his ■; vehicle. On No. 12 County Road, Tuck­ ersmith township, north of No. 3 County road, there was a six- car accident four of the vehicles were parked and un­ occupied. The other two cars were driven by Robert Neil Gemmell, R. R. 2 Kippen and Douglas Upshali, R. R. 2Kippen Approximate total damage was $2,075. During the period from Sun­ day, November 26, to Saturday, December 2, officers from the Goderich OPP detachment laid 25 charges. Of these, 21 were breaches of the Highway Traffic Act and four were offenses against the Liquor Control Act, one involving a minor. Requests for assistance were received five times and prisoner escort service was proviaea twice. \ ' SAFETY TIPS ‘ Many drivers don’t know this, but cars involved 'in an accid­ ent and obstructing traffic should be moved, if possible, i to the side of the road or .onto 1 the shoulder. M.D. Drive The 1967-68 March fof Mus- cular Dystrophy -will.'take place in Clinton during the months of November and December. The campaign will be con. ducted by Mr. Harvey Carter, chairman for the area. This year, with the assistance of the Clinton Fire Department, canisters have been placed in local stores. M.D.A.C. will use money raised in the campaign to fin* ance research on muscular dys- trophy. This disease - which has it’s worst effects among children — destroys the voluntary muscles.
