The occasion was the opening of the Fleming Feed Mill which is located on Irwin Street, Present for the event were visiting dignitaries represent- ' ing the community, including MP Robert McKinley. A large crowd was on hand to tour the new facilities which will spec- ialize in manufacturing bulk pelletized hog and poultry ra­ tions. Vistors to the opening were treated to draws for prizes which included feed, turkeys, and a pony. The New Dundee Clown Band kept the carnival spirit of the opening alive with many selections throughout the evening. In the draw for prizes El­ don Gliddon of Clinton won 300 pounds of broiler starter for guessing the number of chicks (209); Leila Hornbanuik ofClin- ton won a 12-pound over-ready turkey for guessing the weight of two live turkeys (43 pounds) The door prize of four quarts of sulphaquinoxine was won by Alex Westerhout of R.R. Clin­ ton. The grand prize of the pony was won by Bill Chowen of R. R. 3 Clinton. On hand to inspect the new acquisition was the Chowen family of Beth 12, Carolyne 10, and Darlene 8, who will no doubt give their new pal a good workout.
