Sim SUMMER SPECIAL $4 9 NOW ONLY BROKEN SIZES Mr. and Mrs, Frank Boyce, Goshen Line, celebrated their 49th Wedding Anniversary on Sunday when members of. their family gathered at their home for a surprise barbecue, Mr. and Mrs. Boyce were married at the Presbyterian Church manse on July 19, 1924, by the Rev, F,W,K. Harris in London, Ontario with a wed- ding dinner following at the home of her brother-in.law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Brian in London. Mrs, Boyce, the former Margaret Armstrong, is a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs, Wilson Armstrong of the Goshen Line and Mr. Boyce is a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. James Boyce of the Goshen Line. The couple were raised and educated on the Goshen Line and following their Marriage they took up farming on the Goshen Line where they still reside. They have a family of three daughters, Viola, (Mrs. Haskell) of Hanover; Grace, (Mrs. Tom Young) of Goderich and Mary, (Mrs. Don Garner) of Vanastra, a fourth daughter, Ili, passed away in 1966 as the result of an accident; five sons, Harvey, London; Jim, Bayfield; by Fred McClymont The Sacrament of the Lord's Supper and a Baptismal service will be held in the United Church next Sunday, July 29th, with the pastor Rev. Murdock Morrison in charge, The Auction Sale, sponsored by the United Church men, which was held in the Arena last Saturday, with Rathwell's Auction Service in charge, was a success, as was the U.C.W. Bake and Rummage Sale. Mrs. Douglas Robinson, Lorrie, Cathy and Carol of Willowdale are spending the week at the home of Mr. and Mrs, Fred McClymont, „vamooses's,' Clayton, Goderich; Ken, Goshen Line and Harold at home, 20 grandchildren and two-great-grandchildren. Many friends relatives and neighbours called to offer congratulations, among them was Mr. William Pollock of Saskatchewan, a former neigh- bour, The couple were the recipients of many lovely gifts from their family and friends. Both are in good health and enjoy life to its fullest. Mrs. Boyce will be remembered by many readers for her musical ability, as she, along with her brother John, played the piano for dances even before her marriage, Up until just a few years ago she was still active in that respect, May we add our congratulations for many more happy years together, PERSONALS Miss Susan Abercrombie, Meaford, is staying with the Lloyd A. Westlake family while working as a Youth Co- ordinator at the Pinery Provin- cial Park' and Ipperwash Provincial Park. Mr, Fletcher McLaughlin, Meagan and Alfie, Toronto were weekend guests with Mr. and Mrs. Fred LeBeau, Visiting Saturday with the LeBeaus were Mr. Leonce Cadieux of Windsor and Mr. Clarence LeBeau of Clinton, Mrs, Margaret Garrett was in Windsor for three days at- tending an F.H.B. Hobby Product Convention at the Sheraton-Viscount Hotel. During her absence her mother, Mrs. Tom Handy of Seaforth, was with her children, Norma, Diane and John. Mr. and Mrs. Donald John- ston, Grimsby are holidaying at Deer Lodge Park. While here they visited with his cousin, Mrs. Lloyd Westlake and family. Mr. and Mrs. Donald McLeod, David and Cameron of Stoney Creek, spent the weekend with her mother, Mrs. E.B. Robinson et the Albion Hotel. Guests registered at the Albion for this week include, Pr. G.A. and Mrs, MacPherson, Waterfowl; Mr. and Mrs. G.G. Myer, Toronto; Mr. and Mrs. Martin Gray, London; Dr. C.L. Roe Jackson, Guelph, and Prof. Jack Bauden of Hamilton. Mesdames Ilene. Biers, Kit- chener, Elva Coughlin, At- wood, Lois Elliott and Norma Stewart, RR 2, Ripley visited with Milvena Ericksen on Wednesday last and following dinner at the Dominion Hotel in Zurich, attended the much enjoyed Carlton Show Band Performance in the Zurich Arena. Birthday celebrations were held for Keith Pruss and Morris Sauve at the Pruss cot- tage on Saturday evening, when 25 relatives and friends gathered for a barbecue. Those present included Mrs. Myrtle Parker; Fred and Maude Weston; Cathie, Johnny and Jamie Sauve; Don and Jackie Johnston, Ricky and Christine; Eric and Evelene Earl, all of Bayfield; Don and Elaine Dinel and Tracy; Larry and Janice Krupa; Glen Pruss, all of Lon- don; Norman andPat Cooper, Mount Clemens, Mich.; and Ken and Mary Jane Weston, Farmington, Mich., as well as immediate family members. Mr. and Mrs. R.I. Jenkins, Bill and Mary, proprietors of the Woodhome Motel, returned Sunday from a holiday spent in the Peterborough area on Mar- ble Lake. Summer visitors with Mr. and Mrs. R. Roy Fitzsimmons have been their two grand- children Darlene and John Smale from London for almost two weeks; Miss Hazel Wocks of Teeswater for a day and Mr. Doug Grant and Mrs. Dorothy Montgomery, Don Mills,; Mrs. Pearl Shaddick, Hensall for several days last week and Mr. and Mrs. James Smith of Brussels on Sunday. Mrs. B.A. Quigg, Kim and Joey, London were with Mr. and Mrs. Eric Earl for the weekend. Visiting this week with the Earls is his mother, Mrs, W. Earl of London. President, Mrs. Eric Earl, of the Anglican Church Women of Trinity Church, reported a very successful Tea and Bake Sale held Saturday afternoon in the Parish Hall. Pouring tea for the event was Mrs. James Red- doch. During the Tea and Bake Sale, a draw was made on the Trinity Church Ladies' Guild Butterfly Quilt and was won by Mrs. J.E. French of Mitchell. Mr. Norman F. Cooper, Mount Clemens, Michigan spent the weekend at his Village residence with his wife Patricia. Mr. and Mrs. Ken Weston, Farmington, Mich. were at their cottage for the weekend. Mrs. Robert Davidson, Wind- sor, was a guest of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Pounder for the weekend. Miss Loretta Townsend, University of Guelph, is visiting this week with Mr. and Mrs. A.F. Scotchmer. Weekend guests with the Scotchrners were their sob Michael and a friend of Guelph. Mr. and Mrs. Art Latimer, Christy and Bill and Miss Ruth Fuhrmann of Toronto, spent the weekend with their mother, Mrs. G,L. Knight. Mr. and Mrs. Stan Wehner, Saginaw, Michigan visited Saturday with Mr. and Mrs. Jack Sturgeon. Mr. Rick Westlake, Kit. chener is holidaying for two weeks with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Westlake, Catherine and Paul. Graham film, ,to be featured The Billy Graham Lost Generation, features special ap- pearances by Art Linkletter and "Dragnet" star Jack Webb. Linkletter, whose daughter Diane died as the result of the use of drugs, discueses drug usage in America, and points to what is being done voluntarily by many teen-agers to combat the problem. Webb states his views on the role of the police officer and his relationship to the laws of our society, Lost Generation, filmed in Eastmancolor by World Wide Pictures, is a probing documen- tary which takes a close look at the attitudes and morals of the Nation. Location filming was done in Alaska, the Southern states, on the farms and in the small towns of mid-America, and in the dying Haight- Ashbury hippie district of San Francisco. Lost Generation will be shown on Saturday July 28 at the Goodnews Drive In, three miles west of Clinton.
