Brucefield took Patricia Jean
Elliott, 18 Cutter St., Clinton,
as his bride June 2 in a double
ring ceremony in Brucefield
United Church before Rev.
Paul Packman.
The bride is the daughter of
Dr. and Mrs: George S. Elliott,
18 Cutter Street, Clinton. Mr.
and Mrs. John A. Taylor, RR 1
Brucefield, are the parents of
the groom.
For her wedding, the bride
wore a slender Mori Lee gown
of sheer crystalette with high
Victorian neckline and long full
sleeves with tiny cuff. The gown
was trimmed with daisies on
the sleeves, skirt and neckline.
Her headdress was a Juliette
cap which held a long floating
cathedral veil edged with mat-
ching lace. She carried a
bouquet of white carnations
and yellow roses.

Bridesmaids were Betty Taylor
and Gretta Burns. Flowergirl
was Jacqueline Taylor.
They were gowned alike in
buttercup yellow styled with a
front yoke of swiss embroidery
slender flowing skirts, high Vic-
torian necklines, long puffy
sleeves and trimmed at the
necklines, sleeves and on the
bodices with Italian lace rib-
bon. They carried baskets of
yellow and white daisies mixed
with baby's breath.
Randy Getty, London, was
best man. Ushers were Steve
Taylor, Brucefield, and George
W. Elliott, Clinton.
Mrs. Elliott chose for her
daughter's wedding a floor-
length gown of jacquard
polyester crepe in hot pink with
accessories in white. In her hair
she wore pink and white car-
nations along with a variegated
corsage.
Mrs. Taylor wore a floor-
length gown of flowered
polyester crepe in shades of
aqua, pink and yellow with
white accessories. She wore
yellow carnations in her hair
and a variegated corsage.

The Clintonian Club met at
the home of Mrs. Mae Hop-
ion's on June 7, President Mrs.
Pearl Cummings opened the
meeting.
Mrs. G. Glazier reported on
cards and flowers sent to the
sick. There had been 47
hospital and 30 homecalls
made to sick and shut-ins last
month.
Roll call was answered by 16
members and one visitor . The
Clintonian ,Club picnic will be
held in the Clinton Community
park, on Tuesday afternoon
June 26, with Mrs. Lochart,
Mrs. Monaghan, Mrs. Carter
and Mrs. Baines looking after
sports and prizes. An invitation
is being sent to the Goderich,
Wingham and Mitchell clubs,
asking them to offend the pic.

Brussels on Wednesday

Mr. and Mrs. Doug Richard-
son of Owen Sound spent the
weekend with her parents, Mr.

Mrs. W.L. Whyte spent the
weekend visiting with friends
in Barrie and Coboconk, retur-
ning home on Monday.
Mr. and Mrs. Bill Massey of
Toronto spent the weekend at
their summer home, the former
SS NO. 2 McKillop School;
they enjoyed a picnic supper on
Sunday evening with the
Nelson McClure, Sam McClure
and John Thompson families.
Mr. and Mrs. Rene Galana of
Holland came on Friday by
plane to visit with relatives in
Canada spending this week
with her uncle and aunt, Mr.
and Mrs. John Wammes and
their family.
Mrs. Frank McGregor
presided for the devotional por-
tion of the meeting of the after-
noon Unit U.C.W. of Ontario
Street Church on Tuesday af-
ternoon, June 5.
An inspiring paper was given
on the seeds people plant and
water.
Mrs. Austin Matheson and
Mrs. Ida Martin read scripture
passages. Two vocal ducts by
Mr. Gordon Richardson and
Mrs. Ernie Crich were enjoyed
by all,
The guest speaker was Miss
Mabel Dickson, health nurse
from Goderich. She spoke on
the duties of a health nurse to
new babies and their mothers
both in hospital and home; to
the pre-schoolers; to pupils in
public school and high school;
nic. There will be a short
business meeting, sports, Bingo
, and a pot luck lunch,
Everyone is to bring food,
cutlery and dishes. The Social
committee is to look after
lunch.
There will be a bus chartered
to the picnic at Springbank
Park London on August 11.

Viola Lampman, Esther Ken-
dall, and Pearl Cummings,
Mrs. Cunningham won the
Mystery Prize.
The Program consisted of
two readings by Mrs.
Mullholland, a contest by Mrs.
Wise and two readings. Ten
games of Bingo were also en-
joyed. The Meeting closed and
a delicious lunch was served.

and Barbara of Cambridge
spent the weekend at their
summer home.

chener, having lunch at the city
hall in Toronto and spending
the afternoon touring the

Goderich Township Women's
Institute attended the June
meeting on Monday evening,
June 11 at Holmesville School,
Roll call was answered by
giving the name of a favorite
recipe.
The minutes of the May
meeting were read by the
secretary, Mrs, Alice Portor. A
report was given by the com-
mittee who catered for the din-
ner at Carlow,
Effie Yoe and Millie Demp-
sey are to head the currators
committee to compile the
history of Goderich Township.
They are to attend a meeting
for currators in Lucknow on
June 21st.
A contribution was approved
toward the purchase of a
vehicle for the Huronview
residents.
A bake-sale is planned for
the Friday evening during the
Art Mart in Goderich Square.
Mrs. Frank Yoe, convener of
citizenship and. world affairs,..,
introduced Mrs. Evelyn. >Van%
derwal, Mrs. Jenny Heycoop
and Mrs, Jenny Kaastra who
gave a very interesting and in-
formative talk on their early
life in Holland.
They showed pictures and ar-
ticles and how customs vary to
the Canadian way of life. They
also provided the lunch which
was a tasty sample of their
