car horns tooting as the
fireworks were set off, the
opinion seems to be that the
display was thoroughly enjoyed
by young and old,
Mrs. Laird IN/fickle visited,
over the weekend with her
daughter and son-in-law Mr,
and Mrs. Ross McMillan and
family, Waterloo, and also
visited Monday with Rev. and
Mrs. Harold Currie at
Sebringville.

Various projects of the
Ausable-Bayfield Conservation
Authority will be viewed and
discussed on the Roy Jewell
Farm Show, Sunday, May 27,
CFPL TV London.
Mr. Jewell and his film crew
toured the watershed with
several members of the
municipalities discussing the
history and future projects of
the Authority. Some of the
areas visited were Morrison
Dam, Rock Glen Conservation
Area, and Parkhill Conser-
vation Area. The Authority's
tree spade was demonstrated at
the latter area.
Many youngsters brought sleeping bags and stayed the
night during the bowling marathon held In Clinton last
weekend. The first of Its kind in Canada, the scheme
raised nearly $1,500 for crippled children. (News-Record

Mr, Sam McClure has been a
patient in St. Josephs Hospital

is expected home this week. We

speedy recovery.
